What a thrill it would be to sit in a Pub and listen to Phil. He has such a down to earth outlook and passion about archialogy.

So good to hear Phils accent and about his experiences. I would like to know if he already retired or if he will be coming backmwith the next Time Team archaeology here on KZbin. Always lovely to see well known faces. I also pull my hat and bow for Phil being so human and fatherly to the traumatised soldier in Operation Nightingale. I could see and feel how much that was needed. Phil was the right man in the right moment at the right place for this. What a heart touching scene that was. Very rarely found these days: people with a heart open and caring for others.

I think Phil is still on digs (pandemic conditions allowing, currently of course)... I just watched him reporting on a dig he has been involved with the past 4 years(?) at the Battle of Waterlloo ...because of pandemic constraints, he made some videos about it...maybe the Wessex uni?...apologies I can't recall all the details, but a quick YT search may see you finding it and a lot more....so many wonderful delightful and educational videos.... enjoy

I wish you would have more behind the scenes stuff and completely come back to television. ♥️

Damn. That pic of Mick and Phil blew me away. They look so young! If Phil doesn’t have a place he wants to go back to, he should push for the new Time Team to come to Canada and do a survey of Cobalt Ontario and the local area. Cobalt was once a big city centred on silver mining. Today the population is about 2,000 people, and many of the houses in the south end date to the silver boom, but large parts of the city no longer exist. I really wonder what is left underground.
