Some historical background that I find interesting. Tsuchimikado Yasuhiro and Takatoshi are both basically footnotes in history (they didn't even have their own Japanese Wikipedia pages until almost a month after this game came out). From what I gathered, neither of them ever was the head of their clan. Their father Yasushige outlived them both, and it was Yasutomi, who became the next head of Tsuchimikado family. Yasutomi is generally considered to be Yasuhiro's son, but his recorded birthyear is after Yasuhiro's recorded death year, so his parentage is disputed. Sometimes he is said to be Takatoshi's or Yasushige's son. He's known as founder of Tsuchimikado Shinto, a blend of shinto and onmyoudou. In F/SR, it seems that their father Yasushige has died earlier. At least, that's the vibe I'm getting. 17:48 and 19:00 Yasushige lost his position as Director of Bureau of Onmyou to Koutokui Tomokage. Both Tsuchimikado and Koutokui families were descended from prominent Heian-era families of onmyouji, Abe and Kamo respectively, so they had a bit of a rivalry going. In 1670, Tsuchimikado Yasutomi started challenging (as far as I understood, in a legal manner) Koutokui... 友傳 (I don't know how to read this name, the site I'm consulting calls him Tomohiro and Tomosuke on different pages) to reclaim the title of Director of Bureau of Onmyou for Tsuchimikado family. In 1682, 友傳 suddenly died, and his son was still an infant, so Yasutomi managed to get the position. He regained a solid amount of influence and prestige for his family, but Koutokui family managed to retain their relationship with specific shrines and associated rituals. Tsuchimikado family never managed to reach its former heights. 12:48 Regarding the cover-ups, I love how Fate/Zero light novel describes it. After the incident with a giant monster was resolved, there were damage repairs, there was false narrative about toxic fumes from industrial waste spill causing hallucinations, there was alteration of witnesses' memories... and then there was the purchase of two F-15 planes from Middle Eastern weapons merchants to replace the two F-15s that JSDF lost in the incident. It's not exactly the same model, but with a fresh coat of paint it works as a temporary replacement. As for more modern settings, Fate/Strange Fake (set in ~2009) discusses how much harder it is to cover stuff-up with the internet around... but also the events of that story are so ridiculously large-scale, compared to standard Fate fare, that the cover stories have to be borderline absurd. There are technically settings more in the future, but Fate/Requiem is a post-apocalypse where everyone is a pseudo-mage, so Concealment of Mystery loses it's point, with a different system taking over. And then there's also Extraverse, where magecraft faded because of global mana depletion, also making Concealment of Mystery pointless.

Again, Lord El Melloi II is both one of the shittiest mages, yet the most dangerous because he can dissect the mystery of magic and work it into a corner.
