No one becomes a Master by chance. A catalyst is always need, something that belonged to the Heroic Spirit in life, to be able to summon it, if I remember correctly. Just like in the original Fate, Iori was connected to Saber beforehand, even if both didn't know it. Saber's identity is becoming clearer, it's going to be interesting to see if I'm right or wrong, because my first guess was someone who could never have been a heroic spirit. But there is another who also used the sword and that person could be a heroic spirit.

Truth be told I still need to do the new game+ run then play the first dlc, but I'm excited to see what the next one is about.
