Great video with great research brother! I own the same timex as yours but the all black varient and I love it!! I own 3 expedition watches but I bought all of them in a very reasonable price. Bought a Expedition MF13 at 1300rs 5 yrs back and that's the best deal someone could get. Secondly I bought timex atlantis at 3800,personally I wasn't satisfied with the strap quality and the buttons which are too stiff compared to my casio digital watches but it's "stranger things" special edition with some special features,so I've to ignore these cons along with weird 19mm lug width! Then at last but not the least,I got an expedition scout which I was manifesting to buy from so many years at 4k which is very good deal imo. Hence I've no complaints about timex till now..and I love it. You must get a scout bro..me and my gymbro love it,I'm sure you'll love it too!

Hahaha thanks bud. I tried my best to offer as much info as possible in a short video. When I do buy these watches myself I will go deep into the technicalities of the watch. It's about consumer awareness- got to be real and honest with the content ✌️😊

My first encounter with Timex was some 20+ years ago. My colleague and I who used to frequent Walmart (in California) during weekends came across a Timex (Expedition, similar to T45181) and a Casio and we were undecided on which one to pick (there was only one of each at the store and priced around $30). After a few ‘round trips’ to Walmart, he decided to pick Timex and my obvious choice was Casio. Present day, I still have my Casio - W300 - after I started a ‘serious’ Casio Journey ! And that was my last encounter with Timex !

Wow! That's some story of how one didn't buy a Timex. Interesting. I feel, Casio packed a lot of history in their few decades of watch-making to Trump Timex's 150 years. That's the Japanese for you- focus on substance first and flash later

I’ve had my weekender since I was like 13. I’m 24 now and it just recently died, though I haven’t worn it for a couple years. I could not get over how loud it was just ticking in a room.

@@TickTockTreasures Yes, I’ve just neglected changing the battery because I don’t wear it too much anymore. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did on the factory battery. My favorite Timex is the Ironman, I still remember the exact watch I had back in elementary school.

Honestly, the ONLY basic/affordable brand that tempts me is Timex. Their indiglo and ACTUAL Field Watch lines are just so good!

Their Indiglo sure is brilliant based on what I have seen with an acquaintance's watch. You are right about the field watches especially the ones with metal build- they look quality :)

I have a timex expedition in my collection which i bought from Flipkart for 1.6k in 2019. I seriously doubt its genuinity as its too light weight and prone to scratches and the strap also wore out pretty quickly.. but since i use my watches in a careful way it is still there and working fine.. 😊 thats the only timex i have.

@@TickTockTreasures yes resin and 'leather' strap. This model is actually pretty famous.. you get it in cheaper rates in military canteens.. 😊

While, a lot of people recommend the Expedition but since expedition is available in India too, I opted for the weekender and love it. Also, The Waterbury looks amazing but Timex is just milking money in the name of Heritage. Absolutely, no value for money. Better wait for 40-60% off as they have on a lot of watches. May be some day on a Waterbury too

You are absolutely right. I would want to buy the Waterbury GMT but not for more than 8k. They have every right to use the heritage angle to charge and they have earned that but customers have a choice to just not go for it. For 15k INR I would much rather get homage dive watch with 200m WR or get a micro-brand automatic from Europe

Although my first watch was a Timex Indiglo (discarded due to issues) I am somehow not convinced with Timex as compared to Casio…like the Timex Q but still not convinced with the price…what say…Cheers…!!!

I would prefer Casio to Timex any day. Timex does have some cool timepieces but I am convinced of their durability and their pricing is off by a lot (they are just using their century-plus experience of watch-making to price their watches). I have to think a lot before arriving at a decision to get a Timex because I don't want to end up with a timepiece that's all flash and no substance

Got my timex weekender few days back, it's a nice little timepiece, indiglo feature is really impressive.The only thing I didn't like is the quality of the nato strap so I changed it to a leather strap.
