I know diving in CA kelp forests is a cold, demanding and even scary endeavor, few ever do it, but it can be a true "face of God" experience (first time seeing Tunnel View in winter, hiking a sequoia grove with snowfall, Glacier NP, etc.). I'm glad you took the time to see it.

I also got to dive the channel islands back in September 2018 after I had gotten SCUBA certified, me and my dad went with Peace instead of Specter, but it was a day of perfect paradise for us both

Loved this series! Hopefully we will be able to get to Roatan in February! I think the chances are slim, but we keep hoping! Did you dive near Anacapa or Santa Cruz Island? I used to dive the Anacapa island area all the time. Great diving out there. Good for some fresh seafood when in season. One tip for your next dive trip. If you use a wetsuit, use baby powder to help you get into the suit. It's sooo much easier to get on that way.

Yeah if you met up with kara and nate in san diego (or scottsdale, or the ozarks!) and then rent a catamaran in SOuthern Cal...and sail to Figi & New Zealand where there's no covid19! the USa has it in spades - be careful...yeah I'd sail to the marquesas, bora bora, cook islands, figi, & new Zealand or australia all four of you you'd have a BLAST - you're so compatible!!! ANyway, Luv you guys a whole lot...
