+Brendan Gibson I agree with OP for the most part. any rap song can be turned into a metal song and vice versa. rap songs (for the most part) and metal (for the most part) are written with the same idea (structure) which is why covers of rap songs always sound so good as metal songs. (for the most part. lol)
@brendangibson82009 жыл бұрын
Devin Phares Well yeah they can be changed into each other (although I don't think turning djent into rap would work all that well. Because polyrhythms.). But they are not the same thing :P

+Naiya Cominos Wait wait wait. This isn't progressive. It's Djent, basically a step up from nu-metal. I kinda like them, but they don't do much beyond a repeated formula. Bands like Opeth, Ne Obliviscaris, Dream Theater etc are progressive metal.

Interesting. Im not a rap fan, but the riff is rad. Quite a creative mix. I like the way theyve kept the structure quite simple like rap songs too, and not made it too djent-ish. As much as people might hate this, especially my fellow metalheads, you cant deny that this has the chance of bringing the music that we enjoy into the limelight, and could bring our favourite artists more money in doing so. Just imagine Oceano, Volumes, Veil of Maya etc on Top of the Pops.
