This riff is ridiculously good. You’re playing is super solid bro.

Tim you’re unbelievably clean, some of the stuff you play are even better than their originals
@TimGuitarLessons5 жыл бұрын
Well I certainly appreciate the sentiment, but I know THIS tutorial definitely isn’t as clean as the original! Most John Mayer stuff is basically unapproachable for me

Nobody gets out of here without at least one thumb over. Love John Mayer stuff- hate the thumb overs. Thankfully the F# is manageable and the G work around should make it doable. Now just have to find the speed. Cool song and great lesson. Thanks Tim
@TimGuitarLessons6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Mark! And you’re right, the thumb over is tough... I can manage the thumb over for standard D chords and in F chords... but that thumb for G feels so unnatural for my typical style of play...

I want to learn this acoustic and this by far is the best tutorial. Are you using a country flatpicking technique in the right hand? What gauge pick are you using? I would love a tutorial on your picking technique here. Both rhythm and picking are perfect!
@Glensully Жыл бұрын
that G in the chorus - you have your thumb on the second fret and then u use you finger to fret the third. Do it like Mayer and I - use your thumb on the 3rd and then u can use the finger for something else
