That was some good explanation of the adjustments. There is a lot going on in there for sure. I haven't been able to talk to my cabinet maker friend yet he is on travel and will be for a few days yet but I didn't forget it. Hope you are having good weather to get ready for the winter, we can now feel the fall weather setting in just a bit. Thank you for the video.

Thanks Glenn. No problem in the cabinet maker friend, it would be interesting to get is experience with moving pine shavings and see what works for him. Not a problem if you don't get a chance. The weather here is great, finally cooling off. I wish we would get some rain though. I hope you enjoy your week.

This was a good video. I know the camera makes it hard but I could see very well what you were doing.

Thank you, question, I have a HQ. Is it possible for the timing to be out completely? I’ve been taught to time my own by a HQ Tech because of where I live. I’ve timed mine over 20 times and it’s been slipping more often. According to their helpdesk, they said it’s not close enough to the hook. It skipping stitches forward, not backwards or not side to side. It stitches along just fine, maybe every other quilt, I have to retime. Do you have any suggestions? It’s computerized and I haven’t hit anything. It just happens.

I really only have experience with my machine, however... Timing should not be an ongoing issue and should only need adjusting if you jam the needle into the hook or something comparable. If you are setting the timing and it is working correctly then 2 quilts later it is off then the screws holding the hook in place are coming loose and allowing things to move. If you have set it this many times it is likely that the shaft that the hook is attached to is chewed up from the tightening the screws. Maybe a little sandpaper would help smooth them out. Not too much as you don't want to make the shaft smaller. Try tightening everything up as much as possible and see it that works. Sorry that's all I know to try. Remember once you set it, it should not change so something is not tight enough or is loosening up and allowing the hook to move. Good luck!
