Honestly, this was one of the most thought-out videos I’ve seen on this subject. I really appreciate that you took the time to explain everything clearly and with a structure that was easy to follow. These were 15 minutes jam-packed with valuable information. Thank you!

The people who are amazing are always underrated because this world doesnt want good teachers they only want bad influencers. *Amazing video as always* 👌💖

I love your videos! thanks to take the time to explain all this things. I understand the concept of timing, but when I have to apply it to a scene I get lost very easily, for example the timing when somebody is talking, and others just listen, how to make the movement smooth but with appeal?

My biggest issue with timing and timecharts is that I find it very difficult to kinda estimate how long the animation would take to feel natural, if that makes sense? I dont know how long (how many frames) the object should take to get to one extreme to the other, so when I try to guess and make a timechart, then afterwards I insert the frames accordingly, it can still end up going a bit too fast or too slow and looks unusual. I then have to delete or add frames which essentially just makes the timechart a burden, so I often end up just using the frame-by-frame/ straight ahead method instead. Tho, id like to be able to confidently do both methods, does anyone have any tips or advice?

Commenting not because I have a suggestion but wanna know if you've found anything to help this yet

@@goku_dunker_420 I havent rlly gotten any answers so Ive had to kinda teach myself. My biggest mistake was that Id try to sync up the animation to audio, which is def possible but I make the movement too complicated so it moves unnaturally fast. Either Id have to simplify the movement if I wanted to sync with audio (for example if I wanted to animate a character walking I might not be able to have an entire walk cycle but perhaps just the start of it- depending on how long the audio is if that makes sense? But for movement thats not based off any audio I usually go with my intuition from how fast I think the motion is- then sync the audio up with it afterwards instead of vice versa. Im still a beginner but this has worked better for my more recent projects

@@Hello-pk8bo Aaron Blaise has a video where he talks about over-animating some gestures when doing dialogue. I believe you are trying to put emphasis on every sentence and that ends up looking too fast, like if we where talking 🗣️ like 🫡this 👐 Also, for timing in general you can count how many seconds the action would take. Then you will have a rough estimate for it. Like, if jumping takes 2s, that's 48 frames on a 24 fps animation. Then with practice you will be able to see if it should take more or less frames

@@Hello-pk8bo also sorry if any of this isn't helpful or is in the video. I'm watching it and saw the comments so maybe he covers these tips 😅

Please make a video on adding audios files to opentoonz. I am trying to import a song into the program and then animate a movie to the soundtrack. When I load the wave file in - the music is distorted (crackling and cutting out)
