This is such an important concept and lesson. We cannot "contaminate" God; His love, holiness, and purity flow- extending in great love- to us, giving us release from the poverty of our daily lives and offering us a share of Heaven's glory

Just the way laughs and puts you at ease and checks on us every few minutes to make sure everything's okay. There is much mystery here but it seems important to make distinctions. The Bible clearly teaches that in a renewed creation there will be no sin. But that's very different from the incarnate God confronting and cleansing our sin. How is God to transform humanity unless he is present with us in the Gospel?

I’m so thankful for these lecture series by Tim Mackie 💗👌The operating room analogy was spot on 🎯 Just my two cents, on why sexual discharge made it to the list of being ‘unclean’ , because it literally is, the same way a skin disease can or had contact with a dead body. I don’t think modern people “invented” diseases like Syphilis (making a huge come back, a rising epidemic) , we just uncovered things and slap labels on them. 😎 Tim Mackie, thank you , awesome work, God-edifying.

Jesus can heal people from other sicknesses and illnesses. Like drug addiction sex addiction food addiction alcohol addiction obsessive-compulsive addiction depression and everything written in every medical book. Anything that we willingly do he can change everything if we ask him to take this away from us. Our desire for whatever it is that is destroying us. I hear people talk about higher powers. I think that people should be aware of calling on higher Powers because you don't know what you're calling. And it says in Ephesians chapter 6 we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and Powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. All anybody needs is the Bible. God Is Enough there's no problem that he cannot fix. If we grab something else we are saying it is better than asking God. Talking to God from your heart instead of reading words from a book is much more meaningful. the old man and his deeds it says putting off. When we are Sinner and we admit where sinners he is faithful to cleanse us from all sin past present future and he forgets about it never more to be remembered. Then we are new creatures the Bible says so therefore we are not what we used to be. Crucifying the flesh dead on to sin. That's what you have to do with alcohol cigarettes drugs and anything else that is sucking the life out of you. Cry out to God just like that song. Today's date May 11th 2021

Totally makes sense about being unclean. Our fallen state, sickness, disease even natural functions like menstruation is a affront to Yahweh. We were never meant to have such things In our original state of being. And all “natural” or homeostatic functions of the body is just a reminder to Him, that we are dying and defective because we didn’t trust Him.

Why on Sunday; the Roman-pagan sun god worship day - changed by the Roman Catholic Church in 300's AD?? Why not the Biblical Sabbath that is clearly given to us as a commandment to keep, guard and preserve some 187 times, which YESHUA also diligently kept and preached about keeping the Sabbath. How is that?

For Christians who rest in Jesus, everyday is the sabbath. We are meant to make everyday about God. Whether you go to church on Saturday or Sunday doesn't matter, everyday is about praising Him now because we are saved by Jesus. Before He came here for us things were different humans on earth. No?
@kristenspencer9751 Жыл бұрын
Also, Sunday is the FIRST day of the week. And we put Jesus first in our lives by beginning our week worshipping Him. Many in the new testament church chose to worship on Sunday b/c it was the day Jesus rose from the grave. And also, scholars say, to distance themselves from the Jewish law. There did arise a conflict early on, and that's why Paul said not to be so focused on a particular day. It's whatever day someone decides. Also, the Sabbath day "rest" refers to resting from our works to try to appease God, and believe upon the work of Jesus on the Cross and let HIS sanctifying work and His righteousness be enough. @@brucenagel7316

In Biblical days they did not understand disease transmission. Dead bodies as well as touching diseased skin without gloves could transmit disease. They did not have the understanding but did notice spread of disease. Even in "modern times" we see how people can resist new knowledge. While from our modern eyes the practice of moving them out of the city seems cruel, by their time it would not be too different from quarantine. Here is more to consider. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignaz_Semmelweis
