Very nice! Tim-Mee is doing some great stuff. For a while there,unfortunately,it looked like TOY soldiers were being replaced by MODEL soldiers. The difference is that model soldiers are usually hard plastic,very realistic,and also very pricey (which of course businessmen love because they make more money). Toys,on the other hand,are simple,made from SOFT plastic,and don't have to be ultra-realistic because the whole point is to use your imagination and have fun. And they're much more reasonably priced. Tim-Mee and BMC are fighting back against the model takeover of our hobby. Bravo!

I agree. And I respect the modelers out there - they do some great work. But as any work of art, they're pieces are meant to be observed. Not handled. Tim-Mee and BMC are keeping imagination alive and well. These mini soldiers may be static, but the creativity and imagination they invoke is far from static. In the midst of pretend play, as a child, I began to realize what bravery was as the greens became outnumbered by tans or grays. And I'd imagine what would I do in these various situations - how would the enemy counteract my moves. I learned to never give up. And never surrender. It's both a delight and an honor to now have the ability to review and display these toys, or rather, these instruments of imagination.

@@CallofPlastic Thanks for your reply. Yep,I have an old encyclopedia from the 1960s that has a great article on toys. The guy who wrote it points out that,to a kid,a couch or other furniture can become a whole mountain fortress using imagination. And I remember myself as a kid; a grown-up bought me a bag of silver knights to play with, but there was no castle--- so I made one out of an old box,complete with a flap doorway! Models are great but we don't all have the time,tools,or skills to spend 200 hours putting one together. So that's where a good toy company comes in. We can buy simple,durable,and inexpensive toys that are still well-made and ready to use straight out of the box!

It's called the AC-130 which means Attack Cargo - 130, a C-130 wouldn't carry guns because it's a cargo transporter...

I love the Dollar Tree tanks....the ones in a bag with 15 or 20 horrible soldiers.....but the tanks are great knock offs for a dollar....I actually prefer them since they have wheels. Jmo. They are Greenbriar and are an odd pale o.d. green BUT you can spray paint them any way you like including camo. Leave outside a week in the shade and the paint smell will go away

Not at this time. But I anticipate that eventually they will make these in blue and gray. That's because we've seen them add blue and gray tanks, as well cargo trucks.
