Sean Lew is so amazing at interpreting this song from a unique perspective and Kaycee is right there supporting him. As I watched his expressions contrast with Kaycee’s it was so powerful. It’s as if Kaycee is thinking of all the good times they had together after the break up and he’s portraying the boy she remembers. The memory of your past love is at times excruciating because even good memories can haunt you since you know they’re no longer possible. He was so brilliant to portray her memory and she depicted a person tortured by those memories extremely well. They’re just beyond. I absolutely love them and their connection. Best story tellers.

wow incredible interpretation right there!! I wouldnt' have thought of that in a million years! for me, kaycee is portraying a girl in an abusive relationship. It's like she's fighting him, his flirts, all of him because she still loves him but realized that he's not giving her anything while she gave her everything to him. She decided to run, but it is impressive how much she fought just to get out of his gravity. I think it's beautiful, cause IT IS a difficult choice and they portrayed it so well at such young age theyre awesome!!

Can everyone please stop slamming Kaycee for walking off the dance floor? It's called a storyline. Kaycee was playing the role of a woman who was overdosing on a love that was toxic for her, and although she was fighting to hold on, she knew it was right to leave. It wasn't "too emotional" or "too intense" for her, she was playing the part beautifully. If you listen to the lyrics, you'll understand better. Also, she's almost 16 years old, so give her a break. She moves and expresses herself like she's 25, but remember that she's still young and coming into her own, so she doesn't need any pressure to be any more mature, especially with one of her best friends. You don't know her or their relationship so let them figure it out for themselves and portray the story how they want to. Can't wait to see what Kaycee and Sean continue to do as dancers together and individually!

From what I can tell...what makes Sean and Kaycee's interpretation stand out is that it has a sort of "narcissist/puppet master-victim" vibe to it whereas all the other couples, including Jojo and Rudeboy, have a "we both know this is bad for us and should leave but we're going to try to stick it out until it's killing us." I think this is a smart choice. The original interpretation is definitely a situation a lot of adults may encounter in life and the other couples seemed old enough to have gone through that at least once as well. Sean and Kaycee are still young enough that I hope they would not have encountered that. Their approach is fictional and documented enough in psychology, movies, etc to be doable without experiencing it first. It's possible to be manipulated by someone who enjoys it at any age. Nice to see all the contrast between interpretations and a sensible way of doing a very adult duet by younger people.

OK so ALL The couples in this set the floor on FIRE. JoJo and Donovan are so HOT and intense and intimate, Josh and Erica move so fluidly and with such gorgeous lines . . .and then there's S & K who are evolving their natural connection with such delicacy and passion -- it's interesting to see the difference in how physically close the older dancers are with each other - nose to nose, almost kissing, while there's still a level of youthful restraint and reserve between S & K - their connection is intense and intimate and we're actually getting witness it as it grows.
