Al did the first verse and Timmy did the 2nd verse. Reason was because Gene Griffin took the song back after Timmy & Teddy sold the song to Al (they wrote and produced it for Al specifically). It pissed Timmy off, as he felt it was an unnecessary power move.

The members of "Guy" and their original manager blackballed Gatling when he raised concerns about money as an original member of Guy's original lineup with Teddy Riley and Aaron Hall. After that he was never heard from again and radio wouldn't play his music.

Timmy explained exactly why he was no longer a member of Guy when he spoke to Halftime Chat. He was PUSHED out by Gene Griffin, and Teddy & Aaron sided with Gene (who was robbing the group). Timmy came out on top by owning his publishing and Teddy & Aaron fired Gene but they don’t own any of the publishing for the songs they wrote for other artists (Gene owns it).

Becuse He was Kicked out of The group guy by The Group Manager gene Griffin, Because timmy didn't want sign over His publishing for songs he had written for Guy.. Although He was kicked out of Guy He went on to write major Hit's for other artists . He has written songs such as " When will I see you smile again" For Bell Biv Devoe"... "And" Make You sweat" For Kieth Sweat.. Timmy Gatling and Teddy Riley where childhood friends, Timmy was the one who started the group guy, and was very much a part of the New Jack Swing sound... That many people are unaware of" ✌

What I heard is the label owner for the compaby they were signed to demanded all members of Guy signed a contract regarding something money and ownership wise. Timmy Gatling didn't agree to the terms.
