I love that the tournament takes place at a pub. When I was a kid, we pretty much would set up camp at our local McDonalds (for the free refills) and play Magic all day and into the night. The other fast food joints would kick us out after about an hour, but we got permission from the McDonald's owner (who was friends with my neighbor), so long as we paid for a new drink every couple of hours or so. Which was fair, because we went through a LOT of soda. :D

That's a great story. I remember my childhood LGS, "The Magic Wombat". The owner put up a sign that said, "Consumption Obligated", which usually meant that we would by a Mars bar and/or get some cheap commons from the common bins. We would play these crazy 100 card decks all day long in these multi-player games. It was the golden time of magic 🤩

I run balance in a few fast decks I play, and I have to say it works to keep thw opponent from running away from you. A lot of fast burn decks run out of steam regardless of how you try to fight it. Balance empties an opponent's hand when they may have card advantage when the vise isnt doing any work.

So the URG deck is very close to Bertrand Lestree’s deck that he “should have” won the first World’s with. Main thing different would be no Scavenger Folk and instead Fireballs and a Channel instead of Mana Drain. Also Bertrand had a few Whirling Dervish.

Does every OS deck play 4 Factory?

Most auto include 4, but there actually are decks where 2/3 would be better because it does have a pretty big effect on your mana base. For that reason 3 seems to be getting more popular. There are also certain combo decks that play 0. Not too long ago, I played a Goblin aggro deck that had them in the SB and that actually worked like a charm. Foreign White-Bordered. My deck was a horrifically beautiful pile with cards ranging from Beta power to Collectors Edition cards and couple of Revised Plateau. :) Eclectic.
