This is great! love the step by step. I am prepping for mine to come in. One basic question--does the entire bumper fit on the back of the 4runner? I am wondering how to transport from the powder coating to home for install

Karthik Natarajan did you watch part 1?.. that might answer your question. But yes, the entire bumper takes the place of the stock rear bumper

@@TimmyTheToolman I meant before the install, for transporting to and from the powder coating shop and home, would this fit inside the 4runner or did you have other means to transport it?

Karthik Natarajan Garett transported it to powder coating and back. So I’m assuming yes.

I watch many install videos and have yet to see someone correctly pack bearings. You're suppose to put a small ball of bearing grease in the palm of your hand and with the other hand grab the bearing by one side and work the grease in to the race working your way around the bearing. I'm no mechanic by any means but just passing along some info that may add longevity to your bearings. Cheers, Bugs

What rear dual swing arm bumper do you prefer between the CBI and C4 Fab models? What are the pros and cons of each? Does the CBI rear bumper have a backup camera relocation kit?

We don't have a comparison of the two so we can't give you an opinion. I like the CBI bumper for my 3rd Gen, but I'm not familiar with the CBI 5th Gen bumper. C4 bumper makes a nice bumper but so does CBI. I do know there's a video install somewhere on KZbin for a CBI rear bumper install on a 5th Gen so maybe you can check that out and figure out which one suits you better.

I have one question, the top latch I have issues with it every time I hit a bump or pot hole the top latch keeps popping up, how can I fix that?

I think this question would be best answered by the people at C4. Tell them the issue you are having and hopefully they will have a suggestion for you on how to correct it. Good Luck!

The ones I bough via Amazon aren't for sale anymore. Just do a search on Amazon for a two wire weatherproof male/female connector. You'll find plenty of options.

@@stevenmullins9799 A lot of fabrication companies leave things to be desired with their designs. I can say this C4 bumper is pretty well thought out, but you are right, how they missed including a disconnect with their license plate kit is an obvious mistake. But, it's a pretty minor thing. No bumper manufacturer that I've seen yet doesn't do everything perfect. There's always something lacking somewhere and you don't realize what that is until you get into the installation.

@@TimmyTheToolman Right, I did a ton of research before ordering my C4 months ago and it seems awesome for what I need, and they even did a little custom work to make it better. I'll figure this out. Thanks!

@@TimmyTheToolman In the end I did a hitch license plate bracket and it just simplified the whole thing. It's always lit and visible and left my wheel more easily accessible.
