If you watch from 2:30 a few seconds forward Joo is turning his red forehand rubber to the backhand side to be able to smash it in to win the point. But how did he guess the ball would come to his backhand.. Clever guy!

What happened to winning by 2 points? When did they change the game from 21 points to 11? What happened to green or gold rubber? Someone just told me they changed the ball size, but it looks the same to me. He also told me that the ball isn't celluloid anymore, that it's been changed to plastic. Next thing you'll tell me is that no one is using speed glue anymore. What the hell happened to the game that I was a champion playing in my youth? Change for change's sake isn't always for the good.

Many things changed. Winning by 2 points is true, but this match is weird. Rubber is red and black, but today black and others colors like blue and green are also valid. The changed the ball to 40mm. They changed the ball again to 40mm+ and plastic material. Speed glue is banned, they use booster oil voc free now.

Zaheer Ahmed I dont think they get rated for this tournament. Also, whoever gets 11pts wins, even if the score is 11-10. Games are 25 minutes long. This is a team match. So each player has to get as much points and/or sets as possible.

If someone technically could master defensive completely, there are less errors than offensive playing so a great defensive player could be top one day.

You would have to also be a master of ball placement and reading your opponent. The ball specification change reduced the spin and the speed of the ball and so it's harder for a defensive player to control. It's like trying to be a goalie in hockey but you can only use your stick.
