WTF Even if he only said "Tuomas is perfect", it would be enough. And not knowing someone, but taking Tuomas' word as gospel (like many do still) without any critical thought and saying stuff like that is such bad bro vibes... I can't... I met her in person actually, and she's amazing, so respectful and helps fans to be at ease, and seems quite sensitive and kind toward people.

He is too small for her in every aspect. She would never let him even touch her. That's why. Also he hates opera singers.

Timo is a great composer and good guitar player, but it is better that I don't say anything else about him. If any of this is true, why do they invite Tarja to "Heavy Christmas" tour, where she sings with Tony Kakko and Marko Hietala for example? You don't need to watch many interviews to see how lovely person Tarja is, and read the comments to see what her fans say about her.

Ok, I will say it: I would not pay any attention what Tolkki is talking. Seems to be drunk again. BTW, there is Holopainen's recent interview in Classic Rock (loudersound.com) in which he mentions also Turunen if you are interested.

Feel the need to give Tolkki a little bit of slack here imo. I mean it's hard to say if it's actually true or not. Celebs act very differently on stage and in interviews etc than they do in real life. Also we don't know exactly how well Tolkki actually knows Tarja personally, he might not know that much about her tbh, may have heard many stories from people who don't like her idk. Either way it's his opinion/perspective lol, lots of people like Justin Beiber but I don't. Am I "wrong" for thinking that just cos he has thousands of fans who respect him?

People are complex. If anything he might continue to invite her just to keep the peace. The story he just told may be true, but it doesn't mean that "everyone thinks shes a bitch" like he said. By all accounts, she has made up with the guys of Nightwish since, and she's very good friends with Floor.

@@Mephisto401all true. Only odd thing about your comment is the part about Tarja being friends with Floor. I mean it’s true, but Floor (and her friendship with Tarja) has nothing to do with the split and past strife between Tarja and the band. I’ve heard people make that statement before as if it is suppose to be proof of something. But their friendship has nothing to do with Tarja and the band reconciling the past grievances. Edit: corrected the autocorrect

@@pro-v7500 oh I know, I wasn't saying she did. I was just saying that clearly if they can be friends, Tarja isn't a total bitch. Maybe she did a few things years ago, but time has passed and wounds have healed.

Why is he speaking for us, Latin America? We LOVE her here, this was the continent people kept screaming her name during the show after she left the band.

Gender equality is not only about equal rights, but also about equal responsibility. If a person behaves like a piece of shit, it is important to let him/her know about it, regardless of gender.

I think it made him look bad too. Not so much because Tarja is a woman, but because he was speaking as an outsider of the band, being totally partial and even speaking for entire continents (saying Latin America hates Tarja for instance, which is absolutely not true). I get he wants to defend his friend, but he overstep his boundaries here.

When was this interview from? Perhaps time has healed some of these wounds, as Tarja seems like a lovely person. I think it's very believable that Tarja is(or was) a bit of a diva, and thought very highly of herself at the point that she left Nightwish. This story could be partially true, and he's just leaving out a lot of details for us to really make the call on whether Tarja is a bitch or not. Often times, these types of situations are a little more complex.

You just dont write a diss about your girl. You just don´t write a disrespect on your singers partner. And you just don´t write a suicide song because of the fanbase.

Tarja is still the best singer in Nightwish.

I realized that Tarja is a real bitch after her response to Tuomas' open letter: She very cunningly turned herself into a victim, accusing Tuomas of attacking her husband, taking advantage of a small mistake in Tuomas' letter: He forgot to mention that Marcelo was not only her husband, but also her manager, actively interfering in Nightwish's business plans, and without this nuance, there was a feeling that their problems were personal, and not professional as it really was. Tarja then played a whole performance about "the evil Tuomas attacking members of her family", although she perfectly understood the real reasons for this attitude towards her husband.

@@GitanAnimex SO true. The hole thing was unfortunate and made all the ones involved look really bad. I understand Timo Tolkki wants to stand up for his friend, but he missed an oportunity to remain in silence imo. Why put yourself in the middle of this mess and pick sides in public? Come on, this is a grown man!

Nothing can be more cunning than keeping silent and then giving you a letter after the show that you also make public.
@SokolRock

@@ninaj6051 Tuomas wasn't silent, they discussed all the problems many times, but it turned out to be meaningless, like talking to a wall. A public letter may not have been the best idea, but at least it explained the band's decision to the fans. When the band fired Anette, they remained diplomatic and neutral in wording this time, but it didn't really help when Anette later began to publicly accuse them of all sorts of nonsense, like misogyny and unfair distribution of income.
@ninaj6051

@@SokolRock I have my opinion, you have yours. They never cared about Tarja, and when someone came who did, it was a problem suddenly, to have her own self-respect and someone who valued her, she was suddenly a diva. And I read the letter first, before anything else, and thought Tuomas is disgusting and was gravely disappointed by all of them. Now, I see he was the one who orchestrated and manipulated others to do it, and Marko said already he made a mistake, and he reconciled with Tarja. He made Tarja's and her husband reputation shatter, they were the "evil ones" in the public and still are to many.
