I love how much Timo love him, also how he mentioned André is the best. Honestly even if André isn't your favorite singer, André is the best. Just listen to him on Stand Away, Lasting Child, Lisbon, etc.. No one is on his level, that's just reality. André will always live through his angelical legacy, and stellar talent. Well, that statement was shameful for several factors, including: André lived with his grandfather to take care of him, who was 98 years old, even when he died of an acute heart attack, he was in his office next to his grandfather's room. The infarction occurred due to an artery obstruction, a lump of fat in the blood that interrupted the blood flow. He was successfully resuscitated but unfortunately the damage to the artery was irreversible and he died less than an hour later. André spoke, even publicly that he simply did not speak to Rafael (who presumably told this) nor spoke to the kiko more than decade. André's family was not close to the former members of Angra, much less to confide anything. Anyway ... It was a silly and bad taste rumor. Maybe one of those "jokes" he said he did with andré and what caused an absurd hate against him and his daughter in the past in which they called Brazilian monkeys? (search on) Anyway ... What decay of Timo.

Adding to your points, indeed the drug parts are probably not correct. He was allegedly taking a lot of medications and had a not very healthy lifestyle and did have a more depressive phase, mainly because of lack of commercial success not allowing him to have enough money to be as close to his son as he wanted (he would extensively talk about how hard it was to be a distant father). However, in interviews months or so before passing away, he seemed quite content and animated about the plans of going to go for a master's in music studies in Sweden and dedicating himself to classical music. I wish he could have reached that stage in his life. Rest in peace and thank you for everything, andre matos, wherever you are.

Andre using cocaine and singing covers to 100 people?! What the heck Timmo is talking about?! Andre was hypochondriac and always carried medicine with him, but cocaine? I don’t think that’s true.. And you guys didn’t know about Shaman return?! Shaman is the most great band Andre has ever been to and they were doing shows after a more than 10 years split. They were together again and doing shows in Brazil. In fact, just one week earlier of his death, Shaman played as special guests with Avantasia for a 8.000 audience in São Paulo!!

Luis Augustoo Cara.. é uma declaração a qual nunca ouvimos falar, sobre André usar drogas; uma pessoa que nós brasileiros, temos relativo acesso, por meio de amigos em comum até.. Agora sobre os shows, depende né.. a tour em comemoração ao Holy Land foi boa. Do jeito que o Tolkki falou, deu a entender que a carreira dele estava um fracasso e como questionei acima, esse pessoal não sabia do Shaman?!

Concordo com vc cara, não acho que o André usava cocaína. Que ele era hipocondríaco todo mundo sabe e tb que ele trocava a noite pelo dia, esses hábitos fazem muito mal à saúde, também causa o sobrepeso. Ele cumpriu sua missão na terra e fez a viagem, tudo que ele construíu do jeito que construiu foi maravilhoso, deixou para nós a preciosidade dos seus trabalhos para prestigiarmos, a saudade fica pra nós que estamos aqui ainda encarnados. Viva nosso eterno Maestro do Metal!

Yo tenía entendido que André tenía algún problema con el alcohol, el cual se notaba en los últimos años de su carrera. Se le notaba descuidado, su voz bajó de nivel considerablemente (desde 2013 en adelante). De ahí, al uso de cocaína y que Rafael haya contado eso, no lo creo. Rafael ni hablaba con Andre ni Hugo y, por su calidad de persona, contarle eso a Timo, que ni es amigo cercano de él, no considero que sea algo que Rafa haría. Timo ya está suficientemente grande como para saber medir las consecuencias de lo que dice. A veces parece un niño inmaduro. Entiendo que tiene problemas mentales, pero justamente por eso, tienes que aprender a sobrellevar eso, pensando en que lo que tu haces y dices tiene un impacto en los demás.

Pelo que eu entendi o Timmo ligou para o Rafael Bittencourt que contou que o Andre já estava com a saúde debilitada na época em que faleceu. Que na época o Andre quase não dormia, estava tomando mts remédios e estava usando cocaína também. Essa informação do Rafael deve ter sido de músicos mais próximos ao Andre, né..... A galera não quer passar isso aos fãs, mas o Timmo falou.

Estranho o Rafael falar isso pq eles nem estavam tão próximos assim nos últimos tempos, não acredito que ele usava cocaína, mas que sim consumia muitos remédios e não dormia direito. Eu creio que ele tenha tido infarto mesmo, pois esses hábitos que ele tinha de dormir pouco e abusar de remédios debilita demais a saúde. Ele sempre será o meu ídolo nacional do Metal!

Timo simplemente no tiene filtro al hablar y habla sinceramente desde su perspectiva y momento. Los que se ofenden por x o y cosa que dice, es porque estan acostumbrados a las personas falsas de hoy en día. Sin embargo creo que muchas cosas no son del todo ciertas, no porque el mienta, sino porque así lo recuerda. Grande Timo, gracias por tanto!

Para mi fue muy extraña la muerte de Andre, pero el mezclaba muchos remedios y decian que dormia de dia y se despertaba a la noche, cuidaba tambien de su Abuela seguramente ya fallecida que tenia 98 años en ese momento.

I'm not sure if people actually had the chance to check Symfonia, but it's incredibly sad that it existed for such a brief moment. That album is FIRE! It is, of course, a Power Metal disc, but different of that "same old" thing that bands were making by the time. People say that the planning of the band wasn't done as it should be, it was hard to get all of the members involved... who knows. And honestly Timo is a GENIUS of this style of music, he definitely deserves more recognition as a musician and for the hardships he overcame as a person. RIP Andre, may God bless you wherever you are and thanks METALTALK for bring us this material guys.

Hola Zigth2, creo que te refieres a Symfonia verdad? Por lo que entendi los empresarios o promotores no creeian mucho en el proyecto ya que los numeros reflejados en las taquillas no eran muy buenos. Con una alineacion como la de Symfonia de seguro ellos mismos (Tolkki, Andre, etc) esperaban una mucha mejor aceptacion. Ultimadamente el verdugo de nuestro genero predilecto, las taquillas, el dinero.

En una entrevista que dio Andre Matos, él contó que la decisión de disolver Symfonia fue tomada por Tolkki prácticamente de manera unilateral. Según sus palabras: "Todos nosotros (los miembros) recibimos un mail (de Tolkki) donde dijo algo como, 'Miren, creo que Symfonia no alcanzó el nivel que esperaba que debía alcanzar. (...) Por lo tanto, debo decirles que ya no habrá más Symfonia'. (...) Y eso fue... Wow, como una sorpresa para todos, como que no sabíamos qué decir. Escuché historias sobre Timo, me habían advertido antes (...) Pero, quiero decir, estuvimos trabajando en esto de Symfonia por más de un año , y hasta ese día no había pasado nada raro (...) Y le dije 'Mirá, tengo que respetar tu decisión. Es tu vida, es tu decisión (...) Lo único que quiero pedirte es que justifiques tu actitud ante todas las personas que se comprometieron con este nuevo disco y una posible nueva gira, porque no creo que esto sea realmente justo." Y si mal no entendí, creo que Tolkki nunca le respondió el correo y nunca más se hablaron... Creo que el llanto de Tolkki vino por ese lado. bom, o timo conhece o andre muito melhor que membros de fã clube e grupos de angra, então talvez esteja falando a verdade. ele pareceu bem convicto e preocupado com o andre. é triste saber que tinha outras coisas, só achei engraçado citar o rafael que era o que menos tinha contato com o andre recentemente , ou será que se falavam por tras das cortinas?

I’m going to assume Rafael meant towards the end of Andre’s time in Angra, you can tell Andre went flat a lot on the Fireworks tour and they had to down tune for some of the songs, besides, Rafael and Kiko had had zero communication with Andre between 2000 and the week Andre had passed..... the moment Andre agreed to do a reunion tour with Angra he passes.... too sad...

o andre mudou muito nesses ultimos 4 anos. se vc ver antes ele tava magrinho e do nada aparece com um sobrepeso. algo não estava bem o proprio baron falou que achou ele estranho o andre parecia estar muito mal e cansado, ouvi falar que ate camarim separado no shaman ele tinha eu sempre senti nas falas do luis, hugo ricardo e fabio que o andre estava meio "afastado" deles o proprio luis falou que o andre só sentou pra conversar com ele de amigo pra amigo num dos ultimos shows do shaman

A mí si me hubiera gustado que Matos entrará a Maiden , el cover mencionado junto a Bruce le quedó bien , todo por el capricho de Harris de que ahuevos tenía que ser inglés le quito la oportunidad de muchos buenos vocalistas estar en el puesto , y como dices Matos cuando murió como los grandes.
