Probably because they don't have much use beyond their own story. Neither Estelle or Joshua have bs lore or demon powers to keep them relevant "Power Level wise". The same applies to Lloyd as well. They are just bracers from Liberl and do their job as best as they can. Just like the SSS remains a police unit in Crossbell. Estelle's legacy is more due to the impact she had on her environment. Tita, Kloze, Joshua, Renne and Olivert. With Olivert being the jumpstarter of the original Class VII. That's why some people jokingly call her rule 63 Naruto. But as MC Estelle doesn't fit the bill anymore, unfortunately. Neither from a marketing standpoint nor where the story is heading. Longterm I think Renne and Tita probably will be more important.

I don’t think “important “ is the right expression, since they are main characters and also in terms of “power” are really on the spot. Rean is strong but without his demons, is equal maybe less brute than Estelle and slower than Astray. But as you said, in terms of sale and i guess the new generation, they fell behind.
