This is my favourite Master trumpet player of all , every other ones are special in their way , but Dokshitser is a different type , this the result of a prestigious school of art that only Russia could have delivered , discipline and perseverence is the Mother science , i always admired russian school and its artists. Thank you for uploading , this is a truly gift to us !!!

I was a student of his brother Vladimir who also played trumpet and I remember Timofey came over in our class in music school and listen my play...I was so excited...It was a long time ago and I am still remember this big event for me...Great memory!!!

Truly, TD was was one of the greatest of all time. Such a pity for him the USSR would not allow him to tour the west and garner the fame he deserved. A pity for the world the sound recording tech at that time was so primitive: we are hearing only a fraction of the fidelity.

Edgar Vasquez Sandoval I purchased the original VHS tape through an advertisement that appeared in the International Trumpet Guild Journal in the 1990s. Nothing about its origins other than what you see in the video was given. I wish I had more information for you but that is all I know.

With all due respect to all who put that recording together, unfortunately some places accuracy of translation is not reflecting as to what Professor is saying. Would it be possible to post a Russian version (with out translation) ? Regardless I must say and be thankful that this recording is currently posted.

Hello, Boris! Thank you for your comment. I too would prefer a more accurate translation. This is the only copy of this documentary I have, as I've never come across the original Russian language version. Perhaps one day someone in possession of Selianin's original might post it to youtube.
