Nice video. I live near Balboa Park so I often catch the J, the K, or the M (the three lines in the video).

Nice video. I remember when PCC's were operated on these routes. Late 1980s modern Boeing cars were operated. Incredible system. Thanks Tim😀💚💚💙💙

They run on the streets at speeds you would NEVER see in Boston. Would have liked to see how the mechanism works for adjusting between low level and high level boarding.

Good to see almost all of the Muni rail/subway lines are getting back in service! I just saw a bus for the L Taraval train the other day so I guess that one isn't 100% back yet. Even though the bus line substitutes took longer to get out to West Portal I actually enjoyed the detours up above Market Street and over Portola to get there. It's really beautiful and quiet!

Some really nice looking locations here! I thought San Francisco's gone to the dogs! The place looks GREAT! By the way, I love the street-running trams. I LOVE TRACTION RAILROADS! ❤️😍

San francisco has gone to the shithole. You just haven't seen it and they won't show it to you. You have no clue just how bad it is. Believe me, I have been living in SF for 18 years. Crimes, drugs, vandalism, homeless everywhere. And nobody wants to fix anything.
@everettthepetractionguy42222 жыл бұрын
@@superrunnerx1 I understand perfectly. We have similar problems here in NYC. Especially with crime and homelessness. NYC is San Francisco's east coast twin.

@@everettthepetractionguy4222 Unfortunately you are right and that mess is literally spreading to every neighborhood in the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Honestly, that's mostly just propaganda. There's a homelessness problem in some neighborhoods/neighborhood around the Tenderloin. But you can easily avoid it by, well, not going there. This is exactly what the vast majority of us do. As long as you stay out of the Tenderloin, you never even see any major issues. Incidentally, that's the way things have always been in SF. And in actuality the Tenderloin has been getting a lot better in the last 10-ish years. Gentrification and all that. There was a period at the beginning of the pandemic when the city basically didn't remove campers and trash, and the place got pretty nasty. But that was only for a few of the more rough months during the shutdowns and stay in place orders. The media hysteria was actually pretty funny to watch. If one lived in the City at the time it felt like the talking heads on TV were talking about some other town called San Francisco, but not your hometown. Moral of the story - the media can't be trusted. They're just out to make a buck!

Interesting the diagram in the tram doesn't show the F line down the Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf.
@TohaBgood22 жыл бұрын
That's technically a separate system of "street cars". Muni Metro is trying pretty hard to move away from running pure streetcar lines in favor of "light rail" They're in the process of upgrading the existing light lines to be a lot more like European trams - as segregated from auto traffic as possible. They're getting signal priority and some grade separation, or at least dedicated lanes, wherever possible. The system needs it too. Erratic car drivers create a lot of problems for the current lines. Tons of unnecessary delays leading to bad on-time performance.
