Add the global box office take, it could go as high as &1.5B+. Timothée’s Willy Wonka already earned $600M globally during its 2 weeks sho wing. His 2 movies - Wonka & Dune2 already SURPASSED the earnings of 2 movies by Travolta “Saturday Night Fever” & “Grease” shown 7 months apart. Timothée’s 2 movies were shown 3 month# apart from each other. John Travolta posted a congratulatory message about the success of Timothée’s movies.

This may sound silly but as someone who learnt French as their third foreign language, Timmy is so much easier to understand than the others, I don't know if it's because he speaks more slowly or enunciates more or uses vocab that's more simple, but it's a joy to listen to an interview in French and actually understand what's being said :D

I’am French and i completely understand what you mean. It’s always much easier to understand someone when he speaks slowly. Well, my response to your observation (which is spot on) is that : some people get exceptionally gifted by God. Albert Einstein, Tom Brady, Magnus Carlsen are some examples. None of those people gave themselves their stellar gifts. They were really beneficiaries of blessing who then made use of their gift - which they should. There is nothing wrong with it. We are not all the same. Some humans have died in childbirth, while others live to 100. I have no problem with God's infinite diversity. In fact I celebrate it and accept that some will reach stellar-dom while I don't. I share in the joy of their achievement.

It's really endearing how Timothée has a slight Québecois accent when saying certain words in French. Working and talking with Denis must have influenced his speech.

Yup, because his father is French I think.

I don’t hear a Quebecois accent, I hear his French tinged with an American accent. Denis has a Quebecois accent though that’s for sure
@blue.skies.91712 жыл бұрын
@@ameliesayshola8854 It's really hard to notice if you're not familiar with Quebecois. His shortened words like "ben oui", or "j'veux" and his overall tone when saying certains words is more Québecois than French from France.
@ameliesayshola88542 жыл бұрын
@@blue.skies.9171 I’m French American like Timothee and I speak French fluently (better than Timothée actually). I say ben oui and j’veux too so not sure I understand this 🧐. He has zero trace of a quebecois accent to me, I hear a mostly French accent tinged with American. I’ve been to Quebec 5 times, I know a quebecois accent when I hear one. Timothee does not have a quebecois accent. He sounded exactly like this in interviews in French before he worked with Denis Villeneuve.

@@ameliesayshola8854 sounds like you’ve adapted North American French aka Quebecois in your time here in North America

He IS striking - for real. And it cannot be just photographic features alone. Even though his are stellar. It has to be a combination - of personal energy, charming personality and great looks and obvious intelligence - all working simultaneously together. In a way that I have never seen before in my life.

I had no idea Timothee spoke fluent French - his accent is impressive. I saw Dune in cinema last night and it blew my mind, very hypnotic

That's because he IS french from his dad's side since it was his first language from his household.

@@toomuchinformation yeah I know, but the OP comment makes it seems as if he learned it with this :his accent is impressive" comment which seems ridiculous to say when that IS your first language. @@Gadget-Walkmen Oh I know what you meant. Maybe I responded to the wrong person. It was a little dig at people who express surprise at him speaking French, when judging by his name alone, I'd be surprised that he spoke ENGLISH. I mean Timothee Chalomet? How much more French can that sound?
