I trained at RADA, and I think I have finally understood what makes Timothee as great as he is. He is hyper focused on the other person. So invested and absorbing of everything in front of him. Almost manically. And why his performances are masterpieces is you know it is because he looks around. Intensively. He isn’t the self absorbed actor. He is the actor that is fascinated by everything and everyone around him and every fine detail. You can see that in his work, it’s an embodiment of accuse observation to the world around him. That is what being a true actor is. It’s not glamorous and flashy like a lot of people think. It’s a human and social analytical study that you use your body to perform and share with the world. I think we are only just seeing the very beginning of this incredible young man.

Olivia Cura Neat observation. He mentions that he is tactile and needs to touch objects to ground him and get him out of his head. My background is psychology and hypnosis, so this externalising of the senses is a technique. Emma mentions a similar method that I will now rob! It's always fascinating when I hear actors mention very similar methods. It shows we are in the same field: transforming and communicating experience. Well done on RADA, too! :-)

What's inspiring and heartwarming about this conversation is that both Timmy and Emma are so passionate about their craft and film-making, and they connect on a real, genuine way over this shared passion. They're not trying to project any kind of persona or mask their awkwardness, they're just being themselves and exchanging notes/experiences like two actors who respect and admire each other.

Timothee Chalamet always makes me so anxious when I’m watching him (in interviews) because I can literally feel how nervous he is through my screen, but I adore how humble he is. You can tell he still can’t believe he’s talking to all these famous people. I hope he never changes. And Emma clearly finds him adorable. I bet he’s refreshing to talk to in comparison to a lot of other people in that industry. And vice versa. They’re a good match for this series.

Dune has recently touched my soul in a way most films are unable to, and I beleive this is largely due to the incredible portrayal of the protagonist by Timothee. No doubt this man is on a trajectory for superstardom. I desperately hope it doesn't erode his authenticity, zest for life and his love of film. His excitable, authentic and energetic personality is so rare in Hollywood these days. Emma Stone clearly feeds off his energy in this interview. An absolute joy to watch. Thank you 🙏

Anybody who has seen the movie and understood it will say how well he played the role. Coming to this interview, did you even watch it? At 21 she was nominated for a golden globe and a bafta for a teen movie, do you guys know how often that happens? And at 27 she won a OSCAR. Stop acting like Emma is not going to be one of the best actresses of all time, bc she is on her way.

I admit I can't recall the last time I've seen an actor-on-actor type of interview, if I've ever seen one, but I have to say this was by far on of the most not only interesting and intriguing actor/actress interviews, but also incredibly wholesome celebrity talks that I've had the pleasure of watching. The interaction between Emma and Timothee is so casually lovely I adored it. Seriously enjoyed listening to them talk and share their experiences!

Watching these things as an aspiring actor. It's refreshing to see an actor who's not so self absorbed and still himself, you know? Both Emma and Timothee are so kind and humble. I grew up thinking you needed to be overly confident, successful, "one for all" type of person in order to become an actor, and seeing these people defeat these stereotypes makes me feel very relieved and hopeful for my future in acting.

There's so many good ones in this series. It's because they come from the same field, expertise meets expertise, they have common grounds and interests, they are really invested in the questions and hearing out the answers. And it becomes more like a natural conversation, it really sets a mood and makes them open up more. No bullshit gossip questions either, obviously. This is a very respectful and professional format.
