Sofia Moran Obviously, the guy spent more time in the US, he went to school and college in the US and his career stemmed in the US. I'm a Frenchman bilingual in English as well who spent a lot of time in London, I learned English at five and I stutter at times when speaking English. Tim having a stuttering French is normal. He might not speak French that much outside of the US, maybe with his father.

I really want to give you an answer but it's so hard to explain!!! First of all, his attitude when he speaks French is way more reserved, when he speaks English he seems way more open and smiles a lot. It's almost like he turns into a French person. And he doesn't say things like he would say them in English, sorry it's so weird to explain! (I'm not being crazy :D in an inteview he said his personnality changes when he speaks French!)

Being French and watching this, the language in this is how French people speak. We stutter and may speak fast but the language itself is very delicate which is why French people sound like they stutter because we concentrate on speaking certain words and pronunciation

hey hey english is the main language throughout the world so its not necessary for americans to learn a second language. you speak two languages because your society understands the importance of it but it america its not important to learn french or arabic or german etc. for some who live close to the border they may want to learn spanish but its not a need its a want if that makes sense

It’s kind of funny to me how many non-native speakers of a language think native speakers are talking very quickly when in reality it’s probably a normal pace. You’re just not a native speaker and therefore you take longer in comprehending and speaking that language which in turn makes the other people seem to be talking faster. Other languages really aren’t that hard to comprehend when you consume media in that language besides grammar from class and a textbook.
@maggiebepth6 жыл бұрын
He always stutters a bit, but in french is just constant haha It's normal though, he's American born, probably only speaks french with his father and occasionally with family when in Europe. Btw, thank you so much for this video, it's perfect for me to assess how my french is doing! Not great, those three years in middle school were clearly a waste :P

Et tu sais même pas à quel point que c'est super difficile de trouver des mots quand tu parles deux langues couramment. I find myself speaking half English and half french when I'm around both languages in the same room. It sucks cause youre never 100% sure whether you're making up words lol. Mais c'est sur qu'il est fucking doué et le fait qu'il a appris l'italien aussi juste pour le film...putain c'est dedication bro! Raphaël D 100%! You can tell that sometimes he struggles to find the right word to use. However, he's French accent is perfect. I'm trying to speak to my kids in French as much as possible but it's not easy because I don't have a lot of opportunities to speak French and sometimes what I say doesn't sound natural and it's very annoying because I'm a french native speaker. But I do know that I only need to be in Paris for a month or so and my proficiency in French will be back to normal. I bet it's the same thing for timothee.
