*I'm going nerd mode* - Timothee said 8,000 years in the future, and that's not correct. Although the year specified in the Dune story is 10191, it's actually approximately 20,000 years in the future FROM OUR TIME. They'd adopted a new calendar long ago in universe, so their Year 10191 AG (AG meaning After Guild) started from their Year 0, the year that the Space Guild's monopoly was established in universe. That means Year 0 in the Dune universe is still around Year 12000 AD of Earth's. Their years are only a bit shorter than Earth years, so for the sake of the comparison I'm not counting that in the estimation. And yes, Dune is actually set in our world's timeline, unlike Star Wars for comparison.

I'm starting to feel like an old man because I'm having thoughts about how things were back in my day. 20 years ago when I was a kid in grade school, I wanted to go to school with 1 black sock and one white sock. My mom wouldn't let me because she thought I'd be a laughing stock for it. That was how low the bar was for bullying fashion choices. Society has moved further away from bullying now, and most people think that's a good thing but that's only because they haven't seen that sweater. That is the look of a man who hasn't been bullied enough.

Not over rated as he has received an award for his role in The Prodigal Son. Who among the young crop of artists has received lots of nominations, including Oscars? Timothée Chalamet! He’s talented & knows how to choose movies that other young actors would dare NOT take, movies that may or may not be box office hits but ones that have social relevance & viewers can see his acting chops. He’s NoT just a ONE-GENRE kind of actor.
