I wish we could get this beer in the States. We do have some good craft brews here, but most of them have taken the Hippie/Grapefruit hops route, I love a good, smooth, malty brew.

I started drinking Timothy Taylor beers in 1974 at "The Dog and Gun" in Oxenhope, it's just a few miles outside Keighley. Times have changed over the years, but Timothy Taylor's Championship beers are as good today as they've always been. If you happen to visit Keighley, try "The Boltmaker's Arms" it's just up the road from Keighley train station, The Boltmaker's is a small traditional pub that serves a fine range of Taylor's beers which are always in tip top condition. Timothy Taylor pubs adhere to traditional ways and standards, there's no jukeboxes, karaoke or bingo in a Taylor's pub, just great beer, a friendly welcome and great times with your family and friends.

MSK Chess normally epson salts

Most commonly gypsum (calcium sulfate), but can also be calcium chloride, sometimes Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate). Usually not much magnesium as it can cause an astringent taste.

The trouble here in South Wales is that pubs initially offer TT Landlord but then remove it as they don't know how to look after it in the cellar. I would have thought that someone from TT would visit such pubs when initially asking for Landlord.

Thanks for the comment. Our support beyond the brewery is second-to-none. Each of our BDMs (Business Development Managers) around the country is Cask Marque accredited and we offer free cellar training to any pub who stocks our beers to try and guarantee quality. We will also routinely drop in on pubs on an ongoing basis for quality checks to make sure standards are being kept. Unfortunately as you can imagine there are a few instances where customers receive a less-than-perfect pint and if this is the case, upon receiving negative feedback we will plan a visit ourselves to see what issues the pub might be having and offer support where we can. This will of course be kept totally anonymous. If you've experienced a bad pint recently, please email us at [e-mail] with information about what was wrong with it and the name and address of the pub, and we'll confidentially investigate on your behalf and support where needed.
