I have to force myself to have an internal monologue, especially when around ppl bc either I imagine or have feelings when thinking about things/ making decisions but I mostly talk to myself (when alone) when figuring things out or anything else where internal monologue is needed. Yea I know I’m crazy but it’s been normal to me since I was a kid (might have to do with not socializing a lot or some type of chemical imbalance but it helps me absorb the info). Oh well lol. Also when reading, if I’m not talking the words I would imagine the voices on the dialogue I’m reading, especially if I was reading material based on characters who have been featured in tv/movies, I would imagine their actors voices instead lol. Jeez I got deep into this 🤣
@LadyXDynamic300003 жыл бұрын
I definitely think it may have to do with being sheltered as a child or just not being very social. I’m very extroverted as an adult but I was a very introverted child. My experience is very similar, down to the openly talking to myself at times and down to hearing the characters’s voice as a kid while reading children’s books and such. I pretty much force myself to have an internal monologue and it’s tiring sometimes because it changes my process. I do enjoy being a visual person though because it’s GREAT for finding things, my sense of direction and its does wonders for my art.

@suigetsushark3 жыл бұрын
Can you guys do a whole podcast on your last topic - like sex and its relation to societal pressures and religion? I grew up just like Tim, and I have the same feelings towards God. Unfortunately, I was in an emotionally abusive relationship where all my beliefs were put down, and I was made to feel like I was the worst person in the world. Its taken lots of therapy and self-work to get to where I want to be. But because of the isolation of covid, I can't help but get triggered from all these societal and religious pressures sometimes, that make me feel awful again. It helps hearing people like Tim, Nikki, and Rick talk about this because it makes me feel normal, and like I have nothing to be ashamed of.
