This guide is still very relevant. 11/2/23 Revenant Comments: Small tweaks to his kit were made during the middle of Season 18 & start of Season 19, See below for changes. Revenant is a solid pub legend that can be very fun to play for most. Definitely try the new version out if you haven't! Changes to Revenant since the launch of this video: Season 20: Legend upgrades were added. No other changes. Season 19: Reduced time extension for the ultimate with assists to 3S (From 30S) Season 18.1 - Ultimate time extension from knocks is reduced to 5S Slightly increased pounce angle compensation when looking at the ground.

You don't need to melee to cancel your tactical. You can just press the weapon swap button. Also I would argue that Rev is the best legend for solo queueing ranked. One teammate will inevitably get knocked instantly if you take a fight so Rev's abilities are great for backing up and not dying with your teammates

I love the look down tactical, it makes me feel faster. Switching weapons also cancels the tactical. I didn't know the ultimate speed up the tactical, I'll be bouncing like a 🐸.

Personally think the reworks are nice. But miss the silence ability. Be nice if they rework it into his new kit. Like after X amount of usages, it has the silence ability as a small AOE thing. Or if you do the tactical right on someone, it silences them.

Maybe if someone knocks you whilst your ult is active, then they get silenced, or if you get an elimination on someone, their teammates get silenced

I think silencing them if you jump on them is a great idea it would make his ability also have use in a 1v1

Agreed, I am a longtime Rev main since the day he came out basically, in season 21 I am REALLY liking Alter having another form of the Totem. And I have actually grown to appreciate the rework for Rev (although it seems he is still forever being nerfed into the ground😢 lol) but I have to say, I REALLY miss the silences. Without them he is no longer the sneaky flank punisher he used to be, and was really the only thing that could keep a Valk or Horizon in check. Personally I think that's why Horizon has became so big anymore is because there is nothing to combat her grav lift anymore

Actually about his passive scan... if ANYONE on your team gets enemy to low health, they get marked for few seconds, it doesn't have to be rev that gets them to low health. Or at least rev has to do some damage and them teammate gets them to low HP. I took notice of that in one of my matches

If the team gets them low Rev can see the passive mark, if Rev gets them low the whole team can see the passive mark

I’d like to say another good thing is to look to wall jump after the tactical obviously it’s not as good as other legends but it’s still there cause it makes it harder for them to beam you whlist having movement rn he’s my favourite legend so glad he’s back to being broken only legend I enjoy rn

If you want to climb around obtuse corners you can climb more vertically around the corner or wallrun chain like guapee does .

They wanted him to be more flank and strike than a debuff unit. I still don't like this rework, and I've been around since season 4 when he released. He needed a short range quick blink instead of the leap at the very least.

Wen using rev, if u runn, charge the leap abilily, and then slide wen its about to fully charge and press jump as soon as it does and then let the leap activate midjump, u get a massive leap up and length wise

I think a good legend combo is rev reborn, vantage, and octane/pathfinder. Vantages reasoning is her abilities to see how many people are on a team and what Armour they have, which is good for informed pushes, octane/pathfinder for the team push, and ofc rev for the entry fragger that can soak the damage up while dealing damage and getting knocks which recharges his shield instantly, then his other teammates finishing up the team. His ult is great for escaping an enemy too. Normally they’d get you right before you turn a corner. Revenant survives those usually. With his alt .

Watch pro players and learn the maps, practice with the guns in the range, get good at knowing how to use the environment to your advantage, and play a lot, combining what you learn from watching others with your own game experience will greatly speed up your performance level. Also using your mic and knowing callouts can be huge having a good communicating squad can cover for gaps in skill.
