Wrightwood is amazing place but sadly I haven’t visited it in the winter. I have spent a lot of time in the snow at big Bear and in Northern California. I love the snow.

Nice side of town. We have friends on Oriole. Much less traffic than our side of town.

I have FWD, will they allow us? Could you please let me know the negatives of driving a FWD on snow like this?

If you don't have chains or awd, they won't let you past chain control when they have chain control set up. To see if they are requiring chains, use the CalTrans quickmap app.

We generally start to get snow in November or December. It varies.
