No way I could sit through that with my heart condition. If I get too hot, I faint. Glad you enjoyed it.

A ride today that repetitive with scenery for early start, changing to semi arid then to more tree cover. A great video to digest throughout. Thank you Tim for the planning and labour in producing the video. Cheers Tim! 🇦🇺👍🙂🇺🇸

Hello Martin, we have seen a gradual change to the scenery in this video, similar to what we will see in the next. As we enter day two we leave the higher ground on our way to the coast at Cairns. The last part of this series is still a few weeks away, but I can assure you that the drop down to the coast is one of the most dramatic stretches of railway to be found anywhere in mainland Australia. I'm pleased you are enjoying this series of videos 😊.

The stations are not grand edifices visible from outer space, unless you can see an oil drum and a garden shed from one of their satellites 😉.

Hello, this line is situated in North Queensland, Australia. Please see the video description for links about the railway and the train service. I could be described as a public railway with scheduled trains, although there is only one train a week in each direction and that only runs for 39 weeks of the year. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video.

@@Timsvideochannel1 I'm Australian; and quite honestly, I enjoy the train videos from any other country more; the Aussie landscape is generally quite boring for me (I'll get hate mail now lol)...All I can think of is how hot it would be if you were out in it. Whereas passing vistas for Wales (UK) or Switzerland or Canada (or nearly anywhere else except India) look so refreshing.

@@Kayenne54I guess we get used to where we live, it is only when I've been away from home for a while and catch the train from my local airport to my home town that I really appreciate that I live in a beautiful country, the train travels along the Arun Valley past Arundel castle (UK), its an ever changing scene, sometimes flooded, other times foggy and when the sun is out it's one of the most scenic vistas I've ever experienced. The other countries you mention are all very scenic, but they don't have anything like the Australian Outback, I think that I might not appreciate the Outback if it was something I saw every day, but for me it's novel, unusual and scenic in its own special way. Australia is big and sometimes the scenery doesn't change a great deal for 5 or 6 hours whereas somewhere like the UK or Switzerland the scenery is very varied in comparison. I love to travel, the world is an amazing place, sometimes it can also be quite frightening, some nations are not as welcoming as Australia, some countries don't respect human life in the way Western countries do. You mention India, that is a place that tugs on every emotion, from beauty to ugly, from friendly to hostile, people either love or hate the place, I love India, but then I've had mainly good experiences there, although I was always aware that I wasn't as safe there as I would be in most of the more civilised countries of the world. Travel has taught me to appreciate my home country for what it is, safe, reasonably scenic with wonderful old buildings and a rich history, Australia is a nice place too, good climate, safe and blessed with awesome natural resources.

Hello Bob, I found the missing comment along with loads of other lost and homeless comments, I've no idea why I get notifications for some and not others. I'm glad you enjoyed the alternative view. Cheers. Tim 😊.

@@robertcoleman4861Hello Robert, it hasn't stopped raining here in the UK since I returned from Oz, my home town is now in the middle of a flood plain, flooded roads, houses, supermarkets and the local airfield was completely under water, now we have a cold weather warning, much of the water will be covered in a sheet of ice. I'm glad I got to see the outback in good weather. Cheers. Tim.
