After a break to walk down to Emerald Lake and visit a local model railway, we board our beautifully restored railway carriage ready to set off towards Gembrook. The route takes our train deep into the Wright Forest, climbing steadily we cross several wooden trestle bridges after which the forest begins to thin and we are treated to panoramic views over the neatly tended fields. A long row of attractive bungalows indicates we are nearing journey’s end at Gembrook where we watch the locomotive run round its train ready to return to Belgrave.
Once again I am grateful to Puffin Pete, Jeff Evans and the locomotive crew for their friendly welcome and help in making this video.
