Uploading again! Pricing on the tab/notation files is still being looked at, discount codes and all that other stuff will be announced soon as well. But I reaaaallly wanted to get things going again, so each time a score gets licensed and published I will post the matching tutorial as soon as possible. Next up (probably): Struttin'!

Thank you for your kind words! Apologies for the late reply, by the way! i'm launching my website in sept, so I've been quite busy 'behind the scene'. Stay tuned!

This is an amazing step-by-step tutorial of a very difficult tune. Great job. One small request is to disable the screen saver next time because for those of us who get motion sickness it’s tough to handle. Great work, this is really amazing.
@TimVanRoy2 жыл бұрын
Hi Conrad! Thanks for the input! I never expected that the screensaver would have that effect, but I have had people (with ADHD, autism, etc) reach out to me with similar experiences. So you’ll be happy to hear that in the more recent tutorials the screen is simply switched off!

Have you heard the 19 year old Elvis presley's recording of "Blue Moon?" It's absolutely stunning. Timeless and iconic.

Tim, this is a fantastic tutorial… right up there with Tommy’s own Truefire lessons (Blue Moon was supposed to be part of his Certified Gems 2 but was pulled at the last minute for copyright reasons…much to my disappointment!). I will be subscribing to your Patreon channel for the second part once I’ve got the intro and verse under my fingers. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

Thanks! Copyrights are a constant issue when it comes to making these lessons, but it seems my license for the parts has been cleared with Musicnotes. Fingers crossed for me keeping the license 😜

hahaa, I got addicited ! after ca 10 years break from electric guitar, did start to learn finger picking using accoustic during this lock down and now bought your tabs. This is far beoynd my skills but not going to give up, after a month of practise Im getting fine to play the intro and soon can also do whole verse 1. This is a life changing experience with constant pain in my finger tips, wide smile in the face and no more problems thinking of what to do with my spare time. HUGE thumbs up for you sharing this !!!

Fingerpicking is probably one of the most addictive styles of music... and the most rewarding! If you struggle with this, then try something easier to begin with: Chaplin In New Shoes for instance, or my 'basic' lesson on Freight Train!

Amazing instruction! Definitely will be subbing for your Patreon! I just wished the tabs weren't $8.99 per song!
@TimVanRoy10 ай бұрын
Hi Michael! I understand, but the price setting of the tabs is the only thing I'm not controlling. The price is set by the page count, and all of my transcriptions end up in the highest tier (because they are always close or over to 10 pages long). Send me a quick message through my website contact form and I'll hook you up with a discount code!

Id love to see a lesson for sultans of swing arranged by Andrea Valeri if possible.

Andrea Valeri actually does a tutorial himself. He uploaded it about a year and a half after the original upload. Look up "Andrea Valeri - Sultans of Swing (Guitar Lesson).

I've been in contact with Andrea about doing a few of his tunes, and he has kindly given permission to do so. I wasn't planning on Sultans of Swing, as it would probably turn out as a 15-part series :-D Guanches and possibly his arrangement of the Gladiator soundtrack are on the list!

When do we get part 2? I love this song and just learned part 1
@TimVanRoy2 жыл бұрын
Hi Cohen! Part 2 is only on Patreon. After a copyrights issue and an agreement with Tommy's management I was allowed to keep doing the lessons, but I had to move parts of each one behind a paywall (as not to torpedo Tommy's Truefire courses).
