It is one of the best cupping session I found around. Thanks for the video.

Years ago this was made, great video series, thank you! i'm late, but just a bit of nitpicking... I believe that when calculating "extraction %" with immersion methods, you should not add the weight of the coffee grounds to the "beverage weight" (@23:45). As the presense of 11grams of grounds only displaces the liquid and does not impact the TDS, after extraction, although the weight in the cup is increased.

Hi Tim, Great video! You say avoid getting too much chaff in the cup, how do you do that? Also, when you grind the different beans straight after each other, do you need to be concerned with contamination from the previously ground beans?

Thank you for the great videos! I learnt quite a few new things watching them. I hope you do more! Just one thing if I may - it would be great if you could film the videos in landscape mode :) This way the video would be displayed in 16:9 with no black lines on both sides. Thanks!

Thanks for this video, great too see your cupping method. One Question, you don't homogenise the liquid in the cuppping bowl or the cooling bowl. Is there a risk of the coffee stratifying and therefore giving inaccurate TDS readings? What's your thoughts on this? Thanks

Would TDS change over time. If you cupped some coffee, but had to leave and you forgot about the coffee, and then tested for TDS a few days later, would everything be exactly the same, or would TDS fall? Is there a way to precisely measure gind size?
@TimWendelboeCoffee6 жыл бұрын
I would expect TDS to maybe slightly rise. Remember that we are talking about dissolved solids so they are dissolved in the water. Since there is still grounds in the cup I would expect the TDS to maybe rise a bit over time. Measuring grind size could be done with sieves. Kruve has some convenient ones. But there is always a mix of size in a portion of coffee.

Congratulations on making a video with the subject, I 'm starting studies to market coffee in my small town there are many producers who have an incredible quality of the grain , because the care is very intensive , are all organic , but does not have the certifications necessary , I am also taking care to make sure the properties , I have a question about marketing , you buy directly or only through the stock exchange ? Best regards

So glad these videos are available. However, you've got to stop filming in vertical. Its awful. :)
