Is this channel working with JD's? I had a spark of offense, thinking it was a total copycat of JD's channel?
@theappalachiachannel4 ай бұрын
@@mrmj2397 JD is my dad, I am his daughter Sarah. My dad writes these stories and allows me to co narrate them with him. Hope this helps clear up any confusion! Thanks! ~Sarah
@mrmj23974 ай бұрын
@theappalachiachannel no, not at all, thanks Sarah! I really liked the narration having the extra voice, though I do like the little voices your dad does from time to time! Lol. I'm up in Canada, we don't necessarily have communities like the Appalachians, but we have those same kinds of people all across the country in small communities. There's a channel by "Hammerson Peters" that does great Canadian tales as well. Mostly old world stories on fairies, little people of the woods and first nation tales of their own mythology. Worth a look if you're interested? I guess it was just that I always see things get taken advantage of, once they gain a level of popularity at least. We see it everywhere and I suppose I just got a tad protective of your dad's work, so I'm very pleased to hear a family effort put this together. I've only been down to W. Virginia once, to visit some family friends, but it was out by V. Beach, so I didn't get a chance to explore the hills much. Ever thought of doing a story on that Popcorn Sutton fella I've heard about? Or is N.C a bit south for your channel? I know there's some politics through the Appalacha's but I don't know where the boundaries lines get drawn? In any case, thanks much! Happy to hear you and your dad telling stories together! Take care, God bless.
