In Highland piping, the ornament is actually called a Dare (or Vedare if coming from a higher note). It's a type of movement in Piobaireachd. Solid breakdown of this tune. Love your content!

In classical music it's known as a mordent, fun to learn different names for essentially the same thing.

The ornament is a turn... A trill is a constant repetition of 2 notes. Love the channel. Fantastic videos.
