antourte1 I loved season 2, because the one man show put on by Titus really nails it. A black guy playing a Japanese female character, "leading many to say, no seriously ... that's kind of racist". That being the point, then through the power of the performance by Titus that stupid gotcha bullshit falls away. And a story is appreciated for what it is. So yeah, you can be part of the group saying "that's kind of racist" protesting Titus', I mean Tina's show. Or you can get the fuck over it and judge it for the story it tells and how it tells it.

@@fredhubbard7210 Mark Twain may have used mild humor, but for the most part his works aren't real knee-slappers. Secondly, he is long-deceased. never has anyone been more deserving of this award. tina is in a class with george carlin and richard pryor. a lot of the comedians selected aren't even political, and of course we all know that mark twain was fiercely political, and the idea that robin williams, dave chappelle, or chris rock aren't in this club should piss you off.
@NickHunter6 жыл бұрын
losing Williams was an absolute travesty to humanity
@godiegolem2 жыл бұрын
I have no clue why Robin was never selected, but Dave and Chris have theirs now. And to be quite honest, Tina Fey has been more hard working than either of those guys (Dave is my favorite of all time by the way). She is undeniably a genius, the numbers she put up for SNL and 30 Rock ALONE prove that. You simply don't get to be a head writer at SNL for 7 years (most successful of modern years as far as I know, too). Or have a show running for 7 seasons on a major network just because she's a woman. You may not find her speech funny, but the fact that all these legendary pillars of comedy call her a genius while "tomitstube" calls her undeserving, well let's just say I'll go with Steve Martin and Co.

This I guess is a victory for Feminism--giving awards based on genitals.
