Always liked Tina. Great voice. According to my parents, when I was around three and the video for this song came on I went nuts when I saw her. That young love lol. Great cover man.

Hey Constantine, regarding the original bass player: It was played on a keyboard or synth, so the original player was either Nick Glennie-Smith or Billy Livsey.

Please make a bass cover for "You Can Call Me Al" by Paul Simon!
@ConstantineIsslamow8 жыл бұрын
Awesome song but I can't play slap bass. Sorry about that
@curbowman6 жыл бұрын
BTW, the slap bass solo has its own story. That song was recorded during the birthday of Bakithi Kumalo, the bass player, so Paul Simon offered him that space of the song as a gift. Paul said: "Do what you like", so Bakithi simply played whatever came to his head. However, the engineer took his original descending slap line and played it BACKWARDS after the real one to create a "mirror image". That's why the second part sounds so strange: the percussive slap is at the end of every note. Give it a listen!
