I have been looking for these for years! I use to get them with shawarma when i lived in Dubai back in the late 70’s and 80’s. That was the best sandwich ever with tahini sauce onion and pickled turnips! Thank you for posting!!!!

Yummmm.........I have never had pickled turnips. As a matter of fact I have never had turnips.. I use to make pickled beets and ate them all the time. Hello! These are traditionally made in a vinegar brine. You can definitely use natural fermentation (and I’m sure it would be tasty), but it would be a different dish. ❤

I make them and they keep for 2-3 months even after opening , especially refrigerated. Basically, just like store bought cucumbers the get better with time.

Thank u so much sweetheart. I personally never used it, but u can definitely reuse it as long as it’s refrigerated. The pickles that you have to can in water bath and stuff you can’t. Hope that helps. TFW 💖
