We’re making over the lower level of our townhouse apartment! My goal is to finish out the powder room and the dining room before the year ends. So let's make some whimsical, colorful, and bold DIY decor for this space to make my moodboard come to life. For our almost 3 year old granddaughter's birthday, we are helping to redecorate her room. I was all over Pinterest today looking for floral pictures in a more Boho style. So I love the idea of painting the frame and background! She has deep mustard velvet drapes, so I think I will try to copy the flowers on her sheets on a canvas from Five Below! You have definitely inspired me!! The mirror is a work of art!!

That really does give me some ideas for Christmas decor. Because I absolutely love the lanterns and the beads and the tassels. But how incredible would that look if it was coming from the top of your Christmas tree and just came all the way down to the thickest part of the branches at the bottom? No matter what you hung or used as far as Garland's or other ornaments it would absolutely bring this very unique and colorful eyeline to your Christmas tree.

I would go all out and wallpaper all walls in a beautiful rich coloured paper and paint ceiling darkest colour from wallpaper. Add rich decor in the style.

Beautiful! The laterns - so pretty! I think wallpaper the back wall...maybe...pattern, something with movement, but not overly busy, as you do not want to take away from laterns. Perhaps a tone-on- tone, something to enhance/showcase the laterns. Glad you hung the lanterns where you did; thought the same thing; gives more balance to the off centered toilet!!! Enjoy your day!!!

Tina, I think everything is fabulous! I was initially questioning the placement of the gorgeous painting's but I suppose it does make more sense to put them closer to the mirror keeping the softer shades together. I absolutely love the lanterns! You could even add a few more if you'd like. It definitely needs more color perhaps wallpaper but I might put it on the side wall, just wondering if it would deter from the lanterns. You did an amazing job on the mirror!!! Kudos 🎉❤

When I was young a powder room was a small bathroom with just a toilet and sink. It wasn’t considered a bathroom but a powder room where you would check your makeup i.e. powder your nose and fix your hair.
