Just followed an NPR article here. Average citizen of South Texas sending you all from Tinariwen positive welcome vibes. And I personally am sorry that other fellow Americans are rude and racist. There are many of us who are open to others cultures, its just the ignorance of others makes it hard to see us. But we are here, rooting for a cohabital world! With wonderful music and sounds from all reaches of the world!!

pkoi cet elan de separatisme ?
@mokranemokrane19415 жыл бұрын

@@blacka4398 what happened?
@blacka43985 жыл бұрын
@@lmohagh Well, we all know Tinariwen are originally from Mali. They have created their band in Algeria, at a Tamashaq city called Tamenrasset because at that time, things weren't okay at Mali. So, after their success, Tinariwen's musicians had sang many times in Algeria but after their FAMOUS success worldwide, Algeria's Culture Government decided to invite them to Tamenrasset so they'd sing for the new year of Kaybele (Original north African citizens). Tinariwen were so happy to come and sing for such a BIG DAY because they have sang in South Africa (at the world cup of 2010) at that time Mali were playing in the world cup but Tinariwen artists chose to hold the Algerian flag and sing for Algeria. It was such an honor for us (Algerians). Anyway, when they came to Tamenrasset again, the Algerian Government treated them like crap because the Government were not okay with the Algerian people. They knew that Algerians love them so they treated them badly. They didn't welcome them, they refused to let them sing at the theater they used to practice songs in it. So, Tinariwen decided to leave and decline their participating. They really did. They left Algeria and posted at their official Facebook page and apology to the Algerian people and showed how pissed off they were because they didn't like what the government did to them. You can check this on the internet.
