Having totally control of her artistry and the opportunity to explore without being branded to fit certain genres. She can do it all and being independent gives her the opportunity to be super versatile however and whenever she wants.

Zane is not an interviewer, the artist's team give him questions, key words to say and how to D-Ride them . It's pretty much a Press Release he literally runs scripts. Calling him an interviewer is an insult to people who actually take their time asking challenging questions.

I love Tinashe (which is why I'm here lol), but that's not true. Prince had a very public falling out with his record label before going independent and pretty much launched a one-man campaign informing artists about the importance of owning and producing their work. While I give Tinashe immense credit because she is much younger and also a woman in a very misogynistic industry, it's also important to give credit to those who helped pave the way for the independent artists of today.
