If you struggle with reapplying I suggust you apply with a lot in the morning. i do 2 finger lengh to my face and 2 my neck and ears. Then I wait 10 minutes for it to dry and apply the same amount again. 8 fingers total. I do this for my body also. One big layer follow by another one 10 minutes late. I recently spent 5 hours outside in 90 degree weather and from all my friend i didn't end up red even when i didn't reapply since i forgot my sunscreen at home. I would still recommend to reapply at least once before living your house, work or school.

There's some evidence showing SPF 60 to 100 doesn't exactly have an extraordinary amount of sun protection compared to SPF 50, but it still does show it can offer some level of extra SPF protection. So, for avid makeup wearers who really don't feel comfortable reapplying, much like you said, get a good layer of it on before applying makeup and it should still offer a considerable amount of UV protection as the day goes on

First time i ever heard someone admit that the every 2 hour rule is probably hard to stick to, this video felt so realistic, thank you so much! With sunsticks i always wonder if it actually gives the protection it claims with the amount people usually apply - isn't such a thin layer way too little? Idk much about sunsticks though, haven't ever used one bc I'm too afraid of getting germs stuck on it😭 they look great on the skin once people apply them though

Pacifica has a setting spray that’s 45 SPF and I use it every couple of hours, I’m in my 50’s and sunscreen is imperative for my aging skin. The setting spray works well over Dior, Chanel and Sisley foundation. My skin does start to look dewy but not greasy however blotting gently quickly corrects that for me.
I just can't imagine how a sunscreen stick wouldn't move your makeup around. If I wasn't wearing any I would consider it though.

@@TinaTanakaHarrisI have dry to sometimes extremely dry skintype. You said in the video that an spf mist/spry is more dewy (which is true) and that it would be a better option for dry skintypes. I can assure you it's not a great option for dry skintypes. I have to skip on luminous setting sprays and more luminous (liquid highlighter mixed into my foundation) because the only time I will look greasy in my make up is when I reapply my spf with a spray. Not sure why they all have to be so darn dewy but to anyone out there who has dry to very dry skintype skip on the luminous base, don't use luminous setting sprays. I stay away from powders for the most parts because of how dry my skin is but I usually go for a natural or satin finish for my base and good hydrating face cream underneath my make up. And instead of powder just use a mattying setting spray all over the face or just a little bit on your hand then carefully dab it over your t-zone. Yes you will look a little matte at first glance but as the day goes by and you reapply your spf with the spf spray you will look glowy again. Just make sure to stay away from alcohol based mattyfing sprays. I use one that unfortunately has been discontinued from catrice their freeze& cooling spray. But they've replaced it with the oil control and mattyfing spray it does work great but the original was not only mattyfing but still hydrating because it contained an hint if oil in it. And if the day progresses and find that you look way to glowy you might have to use a tissue to slightly dab over the face and then use a more dry skin friendly powder.

My sunscreen recommendations - I’m in my mid 30s, have EDS, have normal skin with no breakouts (mostly barrier repair issues). I’m usually between Fiji and Punjab in NARS foundation or 25 in most Korean foundations. These don’t leave white casts! I live in Sacramento now so my favorites have changed (used to live in New England). Haru Haru wonder yellow tube I’ve been through 2 already!! No white cast, natural finish, not drying. Skin 1004 hyalucica- gave a bottle to my friend who has the most sensitive pale skin and she enjoys it as well. Also beauty of joseon is popular with the handful of people I know with EDS and autoimmune issues. When it’s super hot out and I’m prone to sweat the Hadalabo light blue spf 50+ PA++++ is matte enough for the rare times Im on the verge of oily. Honorable mentions are Mary and May cica soothing and 9 wishes pine, but would rather rebuy the skin 1004 and Haru Haru over again 😂 I had other more glowy richer sunscreens I swore by in winter (Frudia blue cap is top) but is way too glowy for my skin now.

👋 MINERAL SPF REC. Seasonal climate: cold, dry winters; hot, humid summers. Winter skin: combo Summer skin: oily Regardless of season: very sensitive The mineral Shiseido Urban Environment sunscreen is good. Does have somewhat of a cast, but it has some water resistance, the protection is high, and there are antioxidants in the formulation- which, with sensitive skin, I think is good because it can be really hard to find products that don't irritate (i.e. another antioxidant specific product). The finish is NOT matte. There is no oil in the formulation, but a slight pearlescent sheen is left on the skin. The size is too small and the price is too high. But, if you have been struggling to find a really lightweight/fluidy mineral spf, it may be worth a try. FYI Shiseido also makes a hybrid spf. It's also called "Urban Environment" and the bottle/packaging looks exactly the same, so double-check to make sure you get the correct one (I've accidentally bought the incorrect one more than once).

Skin type: dry and dehydrated, sensitive Climate: Dry Winter, Humid summer (Midwest US) + a lot of cloudy days Holy grail sunscreen: Dear Klairs: All-day Airy Sunscreen SPF 50+ ! The first chemical sunscreen I've ever used that didn't give me an allergic reaction! I have had it pill once when putting on makeup, but I think it was mixing badly with something else I put on my face at the time. And it is only 50g. I go through it quite fast. I really wish it came in a gallon lol

I have sensitive and acne prone combination skin that leans dry living in a very arid mountainous area. I liked the haru haru wonder sunscreen at first enough to use up two bottles and repurchase but on my third bottle during this super hot insufferable summer I’m finding it quite heavy and sticky on my skin. I have sensory issues and can really feel everything on my skin so I was really sad that it started feeling heavy to me. I also find that it pills a little bit under makeup if you rub your face. It won’t pull during application but it can after a long day if you rub at it! I think I’ll definitely repurchase again over autumn and winter but for spring and summer I’m going to have to look for something else.

Avene has a compact sunscreen that is tinted and so when you reapply it’s like putting on a new foundation. It only comes in two shades which might be disadvantageous for some

I like using "sunscreen" powders as my setting powder for those super dewy sunscreens or like how you did with the spray sunscreens! I don't use them on their own but I like to pretend using them to set my sunscreen helps somehow, like as if it's marginally better than a non spf powder lol

I have dry skin and live in humid tropical climate, thus I use gel-cream type sunscreens like, ANUA Airy Sun Cream as my first application, and KOSE Suncut UV Protect Spray for reapplication. Thank you.

I use a stick to reapply and love it. I also use the vt sun cushion to reapply on some days and neither one of them interfere with my makeup

I put in so much effort to have healthy and good looking skin, so wearing makeup is not my priority. I wear a light layer of powder foundation to tone down the shine, and it usually doesn’t interfere when I reapply sunscreen. And sunscreen isn’t the only sun protection option we have, wear a hat!

I’m from the Philippines and I think anyone who came here or from here could attest how hot and humid our weather is. I am using a local sunscreen as base, Luxe Organix Aqua Daily Sunscreen ‘coz it’s sooo light weight, I also love the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun as my base then using the AHC sun stick for reapplication. Or, if I’m out and about, I use a very light tinted sunscreen for reapplication.
