We soak fenugreek seeds overnight and blend it next morning and apply it as a hair pack. We never use hair shampoos instead of that we wash our hair with Soapnuts(3) soaked overnight in a mug, just squeeze it you will see lather (natural shampoo). Finally, dry the wet hair with smoke coming from Sambrani incense (Benzoin Resin) in a Sambrani holder. That is why Indian women never experience any hair problems even in their old age.

Hey girly! Make sure you’re wrapping your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf/bonnet or use a silk or satin pillow case if you don’t wanna do the whole scarf thing. If you choose a bonnet, flip it inside out so that your hair especially the hair line doesn’t get caught up in the elastic. I say scarf or bonnet cos it will keep all of the oil from getting on your face and everywhere else you don’t want it, and protect your tresses regardless of your hair texture. Ditch the head and shoulders shampoo that shampoo Destroyed my hair and find something more gentle. Aussie Moist is good and Creme of Nature and won’t break the bank. Garnier Fructis has good shampoos and conditioners too they won’t strip your hair. JBCO is a good oil but if you find it too heavy you can add something like Avocado oil which is also good for hair. If you haven’t already get your vitamin levels check especially for vitamin d and iron. You can also try things like MSM powder with vitamin c. MSM tends to thicken up hair in some ppl at least that’s been the experience I’ve had and my hair was very thin especially hairline. If you go the MSM route, start off slow and then build up to the max dosage to see how and if your body reacts. Have to get the inside right to get the maximum results on the outside. Helped me out a ton! I had traction alopecia from wearing extensions and lace fronts glued down for years and I gained back most of my edges/hairline. I know our hair textures are different, but some things cross over when it comes to hair care. There are probably many things from the natural hair community that you can try and it just might work. We’re sisters no matter what our ethnicity is and we can grow and learn from one another. Happy Hair journey sister ❤️

Misha Bear If I exfoliate my eyelids before putting the castor oil on, will it still get comodones and milia?
@mishabear7034 жыл бұрын
@@chaillyliebowitz3095 it depends on your skin type. some people don't produce as much keratin and sebum so they don't get comodomes or millia. typically you exfoliate lightly using a wash cloth or a facial brush when washing your face at night before bedtime. i would use a clean unused pillow case and don't touch your face with your fingers, after applying. I developed millia around my eye and had to extract it myself because i used it every day. Maybe use it every other day. A bald spot on the scalp is different than your facial skin surface. Castor oil is really thick and not comedogenic. Sunflower or sesame oil is a nice alternative if your just needing thicker eyelashes and brows and not treating any bald spots. If your not vegan, make sure to include rich in protein and Vit D sources like milk, kefir, yoghurt, eggs, fish and mushrooms and cook your food in Olive oil, Sesame seed oil, Ghee or butter. Itll help your hair grow better from the inside -out. if you start to notice any bumps or acne after using castor oil on your face. stop using it and spot treat it with acne cream until it clears. Switch to a lighter oil. Hope it helps.
@talkativeacademy45284 жыл бұрын
Castor oil is NOT comedogenic. Maybe it seems thick in texture but its molecules are really tiny so they can't clog your pores. That's why it's beautiful for problematic skin - mixed with grapeseed oil (2:1) is an excellent moisturizer and brightener.

I just use a drop in a bottle with water and conditioner, shake it very well and pour it on my hair, after I used shampoo. Then I rinse with water and the results are amazingly moisturized, shiny hair and my scalp feels sooo good! But only use castor oil if you have dry scalp and hair! It worked wonders for my hair, nothing could keep it moisturized, I am so amazed!
@leeloodesebat941 Жыл бұрын
Castor oil has to be used once or twice maximum per week, applied in scalp, middle and ends and comb. And it's preferable not keep it overnight, just 2 hours minimum before washing. And because its too thick oil you can mix it with almond oil which is lighter. The parts has to be 1:2. 1 part castor and 2 parts almond. They also have to be cold pressed. And optional be heated some minutes before applying.

Tina! I think that the head and shoulders shampoo is the one causing your scalp to be very oily. Last year I had the same experience, I've always had a normal oiliness on my scalp and after using head and shoulders for a few months I started experiencing excessive oiliness and even dandruff problems. Every 1 day after washing my hair, it would get very oily and dirty, so I washed it almost every day. Then my mom recommended me using another shampoo and washing it every two days or so. She was totally right! Cleaning your hair every day causes it to produce more oil to balance the dryness. Also the head and shoulders shampoo is really aggressive to oily and sensitive scalps. I recommend to anyone who's having the same problems to use a different shampoo (according to your hair type) and not cleaning it every single day, only when you need to. Also, english is not my first language, hope it was clear anyways :)❤️

Take Biotin for great results. I’ve grown new layers of hair at 60 and we’ve finally convinced my friend’s daughter, who was virtually bald and very depressed, to take it. She now has hair. It’s cheap and the tablets are tiny. No mess. Also get your iron levels checked, a lot of young women don’t eat red meat these days and that can contribute to the problem. It’s really what you put in your body that helps. Pale skin and dull eyes can indicate deficiencies. Your inside health shows in your skin and hair. Young women should have glowing skin and bright eyes, if they don’t then they’re lacking nutrients.

It comes in a bunch of reddish brown shades or even black (although the black one could contain a certain ingredient which you should avoid). Since you already have dark hair the color wouldn't show up too much and therefore shouldn't be a huge concern. More importantly if you do try it out, make sure to use a brand that is all natural and uses 100% henna and or cassia plant. I did it a while ago and It's made my hair feel and look noticeably thicker and glossy.

@@ElsieMarina I beg to differ with you. I have been following this protocol, since 1998, well over 22 years. My hair is. NOT like straw. It is very well-conditioned, and beautiful. I have been doing my own hair, and know what works for me. If your hair is like straw, you have failed to use a natural conditioner such as castor oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, or olive oil. You can even use regular mayonnaise, to condition your hair. I started with mayo, every 2 weeks overnight, as described. The baking soda is used to remove the greasiness. It does not strip your hair, of being moisturized. After you shampoo with the baking soda and shampoo mixture, follow with your normal conditioner. Follow that, with your normal styling procedure. My hair is like this and I switched to sulfate free conditioning-shampoo (if it’s a shampoo that requires a separate conditioner-it always seemed to strip too many oils during the wash. So I prefer a combo for my hair). Once a month (maybe twice a month but too often isn’t good. It’s the same as taking too much of any vitamin) I use a flaxseed hair mask. This gives my hair an AMAZING feel and look. I use two cups of water, bring to a boil, add 1/2cup flaxseed. Simmer until you get a white froth/foam on the water and then strain. Use the gel that you strain from the seeds to gently rub through your scalp and hair. Let it sit for an hour. Then wash with a gentle sulfate free conditioning shampoo. DO NOT USE HEAT to dry your hair. Use cool air to dry and if you’re drying naturally, be sure to flip your hair around often to give it lift. Taking hair, skin, & nails vitamins and getting my hair cut with “textured” ends rather than layers also really helped me as well. Hope this helps someone! I wish you all well with finding what works best for you! 🙂

When you use castor oil on your eyelashes and eyebrows, it says it takes 6-8 weeks of daily application before you can really see a difference. So it could take a bit more time. I've also heard that it won't really multiply your hairs, but it will make it come in thicker and darker so it gives the impression of more hair. And stronger, so it can be more voluminous. I've used it sporadically (once a weekish) for a few months and some of my thinner spots in the front are growing back (I had a bad run-in with a haircare line for curly hair which burnt off my thinner hairs). I apply it hanging my head upside down so my hair shafts won't get in the way of the massage. Overall, it definitely works but it requires a bit of patience to see initial results. It does crazy stuff for my eyelashes though.

In our home, great results with lashes and brows in 30 days. Apply evenly, as lashes grow thicker wherever castor oil is applied the thickest. Also recommend cold pressed organic castor oil. Do not heat the oil. Warm it, if you must, but only warm the oil you are applying for your treatment. Oils lose their good properties easily, especially with heat exposure.

The problem is you used a mix of castor oil and coconut oil coconut oil tends to clog the pores and doesn't suit oily scalp + how will you know which oil helped? Why didn't you try 100% pure castor oil? In addition: you're using H&S which is filled with silicones and mineral oil that again clog the pores and builds up on the scalp.
@robertcohen65024 жыл бұрын
Based on the microscope images, it appears that you have seborrheic dermatitis along the front of your hair line. This can be observed by slight redness and sebum deposits. Conversely, the mid scalp appears white and healthy. The hairs appear finer at the frontal hairline, indicative that the sebum buildup might be leading to temporary hair fall. I would recommend getting a prescription for a 2% ketoconazole shampoo. The Head and Shoulders shampoo might be too drying leading to greater oil production. Some over the counter shampoos that work well for seborrheic dermatitis would be Tgel or Free and Clear shampoo 2% Pyrithione Zinc. Be careful with the use of castor oil. This could potentially lead to hair fall considering that you might have seborrheic dermatitis. The oil can clog up the follicles making it hard for the hair to grow. My recommendation to consult with a dermatologist so that you can have a proper treatment. Natural products can work for people who do not have any scalp conditions but be cautious.

So I bought Nizoral, a dandruff shampoo just for that. I have been using rosemary oil for a week now with olive oil. I just switched to pumpkin seed oil instead to carry the rosemary oil. I also bought a pumpkin seed oil supplement, 2000 mg oil capsules. I saw in a video that castor oil can darken your hair as can cloves, so I steered away from that. I just ordered minoxidil as well. I want to buy a laser cap also. I'll get a derm pen also if I have too. I barely have hair on top of my head right now. I just got serious and freaked out over my rapid hair loss from the last three years. It's just crazy how I have lost so much hair from the front to the back. I'm sure my losy diet hurts my hair as well. Also, months back I used to get a lot of oil in my hair. My hair would just become a glob of oil. I couldn't understand it. Maybe it was the dryness of my hair and scalp ans so my pores produced a lot of oil. And I don't know sebum from oil. It could have been either or both.

I use castor oil in my organic coconut shampoo and the results are amazing. Now my hair is growing strong and beautiful

I have my own mix of castor n coconut oil.. 1.Dont be harsh shampoos. I personally dont like head n shoulders at all. 2.You can use the oil and leave it for 30 mins before wash.. people says overnight is better but the oil treatment takes only 20-30mins so overnight isn't necessary. 3.I use castor for my eyelashes n I am liking the results. 4.My hair feels so much fuller and healthier after the oil treatment..and yes I try to do it at least once in a week.

Wow I can def see the difference in how your hair bounced more at the end of the 30 days. One thing I've heard about using oil for hair is that it's best absorbed into wet/damp hair since that is when the follicles are more open- wondering if you came across that info too in your research. Anyways, great video!

I see everyone saying to try this and that but there is a point where home remedies can’t help against genetics sadly :(

Genetics don't play as much of a role as people think.

KnackeredNoodle Girl have you been to the doctors? Taken a blood test? Because one morning last year I woke up with a bald spot on the very top of my scalp and found out I had very low levels of iron. Been taking iron tablets every night for the last 8 months and I can see quite a bit of hair growing back which is a good sign.

i just massage the oil into my scalp and move it down my mids and ends and put my hair in a dutch braid, i do it when i have a day off work and just clean my house. then when im ready to shower i shampoo twice on my scalp only, condition my minds and ends, then use a hair mask with coconut oil, banana oil, avocado oil and agave! i also wrap it in a cotton tshirt for 30 mins and then twist it and clip it up until its dry 👍🏻 i also only do this once or twice a week at most but wash anytime my hair is oily and ive seen a HUGE improvement edit: i also ONLY use products that have no sulfates, silicons or parabens and are all natural

I do not soak my hair in castor oil over night with all that mess! I am a 58 year old female and have been using castor oil for different things for years. I use Renpure Argon oil shampoo and conditioner I add 2 tsp to each bottle and shake it each time I use it. I buy the large size bottles , 32 ounce size with the pump tops. My hair is clean, soft and shiny. No mess.

There is absolutely no need to mix anything else into this for hair care, don't believe these crazy people that want you to mix it with tons of crap like some flunky chemist
