Why aren’t the judges, who repeatedly gave her bail, held accountable for their actions? Indeed, they are also guilty in this case. Any professional like doctors, engineers etc are held accountable for their omissions and commissions, so why not the lawyers and judges? Why aren’t the judges named, shamed and dismissed? How are they above the law that they are supposed to enforce? Digressing a bit from the gender issue. Psychiatrists should research the effect of our media (Bollywood, TV soaps, etc.) affecting behaviour of people. Our movies in the recent decades like Baazigar, Darr, Don, Gangs of wasseypur, KGF, etc. eulogize and glamorize the anti hero or villain. We only see him/her kill innocent people and then being taken away by police or is invincible. Movie ends there. But the actor who played the character next appears celebrating success of movie and gets awards and accolades. Subconsciously the virtual message given to society -crime is good and it's rewarding. There is a general tendency of Bollywood, operated by Dawood like gangsters, to make biopics on criminals, lawbreakers, swindlers, etc. Now they are pondering movie on Subrato Roy who cheated the public. Why don't they focus on only good people. We don't yet have a proper biopic on Dr. Kalam Sir, Kiran Bedi, Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, T N Seshan, and so many brilliant minds.
