The Tineco Pure One S12 and Dyson V11 Torque Drive are two of the best cordless stick vacuums I've tested so far based on how well it cleans floors, run time, and overall build quality.
While the V11 has superior airflow, the Pure One S12 more than held it's own in the surface cleaning tests.
It was able to outperform the V11 in surface cleaning tests. Even the direct drive attachment of the Pure One S12 did better than the V11 when it comes to cleaning sand and hard floors.
The V11's Torque Drive attachment is best suited for cleaning carpet, but it is still very good on hard floors thanks to the brush roll design and adjustable gates.
But there is some risk of scratching since it does not have padding underneath and the ball system is all-plastic.
I would say that the Tineco Pure One S12 is a better option for folks who live in homes with a mixture of hard floors, low pile carpet, and rugs.
The V11 Torque Drive is a no-brainer inside homes with lots of carpets.

Which do you prefer? Please Note that the days on V11 outsize models are more powerful. 220 air watts on boost mode. About 20% stronger. A soft roller can be used with the outsize as well as other attachments with an adapter

Airflow doesn't matter much on hard floors with the soft roller. Ii'll only go with the Outsize if I need to clean carpet, but if you don't mind spending for it and want to use it on hard floors, I wouldn't stop you. Note that the soft roller attachment of the V10 will also fit the Outsize :).

awesome review and I'm a fan of Tineco but there's huge differentiation left out, the filtration system of either. it is in the cyclones where Dyson made their/his name. The Tineco has the most basic filtration, only a bare HEPA/paper filter in cheapest vacs is worse. One will have to clean Tineco's post motor filter, every other few days or one week to maintain efficiency and performance while the Dyson will take a month or more.

It's a shame he didn't reach out to your comment, because it would have added some credibility back to what was otherwise a decent review. It's recommended that the prefilter be replaced 3-4/year, and the hepa filter 2x/yr, thus adding significant ongoing costs. I was pulling my coat on, to go pick one up when I saw your comment, which completed the review. Thank you for making it, because you saved me from having to make a return, and saved me being angry with myself for being duped by yet another content creator. Best wishes for 2022.

@@zodiacfml From all what I saw the S15 is more a backstep in most of comfort and extra. And for the filtration, I saw different smoke tests and the S12 and S15 were perfect, like the dyson. So I don't think the filtration is a problem.

there is one big negative with Pure One S12, it's really hard to clean under the bed or cabinets as the wand when you lower it to the floor lifts the power head. Dyson is more flexible under the beds.

How does the pre-motor filtration compare? The tineco has the convenient filter cleaner tool, but I've heard the Dysons just don't need to be cleaned often because of better cyclonic separation, is this true in your experience? Will I have to clean the tineco filter more often than the Dyson filter?
@CordlessVacuumGuide
@CordlessVacuumGuide 3 жыл бұрын
Dyson has better filtration. Yes, Dyson's filters will require less frequent cleaning than Tineco. The Tineco filters where pretty much soiled after all the cleaning and needed washing, whereas the Dyson wasn't as dirty. So yes, it will require much more frequent cleaning.

Having owned various Dyson sticks over the years as a professional cleaner, I can say their filtration a system is awesome. I clean the filter roughly once a fortnight (and that’s from heavy daily use)

@@rebeccawilson7896 thanks for the reply! I've had the tineco for about a year now, and I find that I also only need to clean the filter once every two weeks or so. It gets daily household use. I imagine the Dyson would require less maintenance but I'm currently fine with the tineco. The only issue I've had with it so far is that the turbo suction feature no longer works. I haven't bothered to replace it because the normal suction is sufficient for all my needs.

@@SmartRobotReviews yea I have one and the filtration Is really good and the app shows you more then you need to know like how dirty or clean the dustbin or filter is and tells you when to clean it the auto mode is really good and save a lot of extra battery life but the dyson only switches from carpet to floor or vice versa and if the carpets clean then it’s wasting battery life and looks obviously the s12 looks better too the dyson is big and bulky.

Mostly okay-ish video. However you need to work on you methodology. 114% pickup for Dyson? No real measurement takes into account (in fact they try to minimize it!) the condition and history of its test tools. I'd hope you don't need an engineering degree for that. You MUST always zero out the embedded fine grain before testing, for example use a very good corded vacuum, or a fresh stripe of carpet. If you tested a very bad vacuum before this comparison, the order of test would have an effect, as whichever will you use first will have results over 100% - practically this is what happened. Can you tell with confidence Tineco wouldn't have picked up at least 113% if gone first? Your numbers suggest an unrealistic difference... You maybe did realize part of this yourself, but instead of re-doing a fully normalized test, you reported the numbers as is: after 7 years of testing this is -sorry for the abrasiveness - absolutely lame. Sorry, but this is so basic, I have an urge to downvote all of you videos till this date, partly because the name of the channel suggest professionalism (so people will give credit to you, which you do not fully deserve like this). Also I'd to mention the CFM: I'll say that is not the most relevant data out of the three possible: you should report pressure, and air power, and THEN maybe CFM. The Vacuum Wars gut have better methodology than you (he normalizes the deep clean test carpet before each test for example!), and he reports pressure as well, but has some flaws here as well. Specifying air power will give you an insight on motor (+fan and air channel) efficiency, if motor power is also given - most manufacturers give it. Using only CFM is a bane of non-SI units, don't favour the americans in this stupidly. At least give it in liters/s also (which is slightly non-SI, but powers of ten changes are easily don mentally...) (If you use SI, you'll get the air power by simple multiplication of the pressure and current...)

Thank you for the lengthy comment. It certainly got my attention. You're right, there's no perfect methodology. That doesn't exist. I'm always on the lookout for ways to improve vacuum comparisons. It evolves. Right now, I'm using the tools I have on hand. I will add more tests, as I go along, to make these as objective as possible. When testing these vacuums I do the exact same test for both vacuums. Regarding the 114% score (a little exaggeration), I was pointing out the ability of the V11 to really deep clean carpet. Both vacuums were tested the same way, so that score is accurate. You were referencing Vacuum Wars, he actually got a higher score for the Pure One S12 in the deep cleaning test, compared to what I got, just an FYI. As for the Pure One S12 getting a score higher than 114%, I don't think that will happen. I tested it several times. The seal isn't as tight as a Dyson. With the V11, it's hard to push with the gates closed and full-power. Thanks for the feedback, and I'll look to improve the testing methodologies as I go along.
