I've been a fan since That's not my name and I still love their music. I hate that they're no longer well-known as they once were.

They came to Turkey, İstanbul for a concert. Just imagine a 21-year-old super-fan attending it. I was at the very front, singing along to Katie and it was amazing. At some point, she realized I was singing every single song they played and stared at me with a smirky smile. I was so happy, I started shouting while singing. I was also jumping and making some silly moves. At the end of the concert, she smashed her Ibanez making me scream. All things went, they never came again. But that night I still remember. What an amazing performance... Thank you The Ting Tings. Your concert was the only good thing that happened to me that year.

Exactly. I think a lot of self-proclaimed TTs fans were disappointed that the 2nd album wasn't just TNMName over and over again. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, but if that's the way you feel, might I suggest that you're not a TT fan so much as a fan of their hit singles. Especially if you look at what they did as Dear Eskiimo, they've always had a broader range than most would give them credit for.

I've never seen a Ting Tings "creative" video I liked. But I've also never seen a Ting Tings concert video where I didn't wish I was in the audience. :) I just don't think their simple, powerful music goes well with overproduced videos. For my tastes, they're a "live band", like the Ramones or Grateful Dead were.

The music is great, but there is a lot of confusion in everything else. The lyrics are mixed themes. Funk isn't typically used to promote peace and love. That was Hippy flower power. The costume design, hairdo and lighting was half Glam, half weird techie. The graphics overlays looked like graphics used to help gunners guide their missiles to targets. The free floating windows was cool though, but there wasn't much action in those windows. I don't get what peace and love have with doing something "wrong".
