@Rory Snow @ Vic Morrow Forever In My Heart Yes, it sounds like a 70's song because it kinda is -- it samples (references) two 70's songs, one is "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing", a big hit song from 1976 by Leo Sayer (this has similar arrangement, falsetto, theme), and other is 1975 comeback hit for Four Seasons called "December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night)" - this song borrowed the piano rhythm from that song. Both are very good songs and you should check them out if you liked this. :)

Wake up in the morning with a head like 'What ya done?' This used to be the life but I don't need another one Good luck cuttin' nothin', carryin' on, you wear them gowns So how come I feel so lonely when you're up gettin' down? So I play along when I hear that favorite song I'm gonna be the one who gets it right You better know when you're swingin' 'round the room Looks like magic's solely yours tonight But I don't feel like dancin' when the old Joanna plays My heart could take a chance but my two feet can't find a way You think that I could muster up a little soft shoe gentle sway But I don't feel like dancin', no sir, no dancin' today Don't feel like dancin', dancin' Even if I find nothin' better to do Don't feel like dancin', dancin' Why'd you break it down when I'm not in the mood? Don't feel like dancin', dancin' Rather be home with the one in bed till dawn with you, you, you Cities come and cities go just like the old empires When all you do is change your clothes and call that versatile You got so many colors make a blind man so confused Then why can't I keep up when you're the only thing I lose? So I'll just pretend that I know which way to bend And I'm gonna tell the whole world that you're mine Just please understand when I see you clapped your hands If you stick around I'm sure that you'll be fine But I don't feel like dancin' when the old Joanna plays My heart could take a chance but my two feet can't find a way You think that I could muster up a little soft shoe gentle sway But I don't feel like dancin', no sir, no dancin' today Don't feel like dancin', dancin' Even if I find nothin' better to do Don't feel like dancin', dancin' Why'd you break it down when I'm not in the mood? Don't feel like dancin', dancin' Rather be home with no one if I can't get down with you, you, you You can't make me dance around But your two-step makes my chest pound Just lay me down As you float away into the shimmer light But I don't feel like dancin' when the old Joanna plays My heart could take a chance but my two feet can't find a way You think that I could muster up a little soft shoe gentle sway But I don't feel like dancin', no sir, no dancin' today Don't feel like dancin', dancin' Even if I find nothin' better to do Don't feel like dancin', dancin' Why'd you break it down when I'm not in the mood? Amazing video effects! I can see why the video has had so many views. It kind of boggles my mind that some person came up with the idea of how to do the video effects... and then that the vision they had for the video production worked out so well in reality.

As an old guy who was a child when Beatles broke out, and was never impressed by anything musical after the 1970s irruption of Queen in the musical landscape , and thought that was the last nail in the coffin of his musical receptiveness, I must say that hearing this on the radio a couple of days ago for the very first time just captivated me. The lady singing second voice is just stunning.

This song reminds me of one off my three sons. He died this year in April 2020. Yes he was gay and he was a wonderful person and he had a lovely soul. We had for him a goodbye party not a normal funeral. When he was barried we all danced to this music in front of his grave, that was he's wish. He said often to me, when I die someday than let red roses rain on my grave and dance in front of my grave, and we did that with all our love for him. 😭💕🌈💕🌈💕🌈💕🌈💕🌈💕🌈

Wake up in the morning With the head like "What ya' done?" This used to be the life, but I don't need another one You like cutting up and carrying on You wear them gowns So how come I feel so lonely When you're up getting down? So I'll play along When I hear that special song I'm gonna be the one who gets it right You'd better move when you're swinging around the room Looks like magic's only ours tonight But I don't feel like dancing when the old Joanna plays My heart could take a chance My two feet can't find a way You'd think that I could muster up A little soft shoe gentle sway I don't feel like dancing, no sir no dancing today I don't feel like dancing, dancing Even if I find nothing better to do Don't feel like dancing, dancing Why'd you pick a tune when I'm not in the mood? Don't feel like dancing, dancing I'd rather be home with the one in the bed Till dawn with you-u-u Cities come and cities go just like the old empires When all you do is change your clothes And call that versatile You got so many colors it'd make a blind man so confused Then why can't I keep up When you're the only thing I'd lose? So I'll just pretend that I know which way to bend I'm gonna tell the whole world that you're mine Just please understand when I see you clap your hands If you stick around I'm sure that I'll be fine But I don't feel like dancing when the old Joanna plays My heart could take a chance My two feet can't find a way You'd think that I could muster up A little soft shoe gentle sway I don't feel like dancing, no sir no dancing today I don't feel like dancing, dancing Even if I find nothing better to do Don't feel like dancing, dancing Why'd you pick a tune when I'm not in the mood? Don't feel like dancing, dancing I'd rather be home with the one in the bed Till dawn with you-u-u You can't make me dance around But your two-step makes my chest pound Just lay me down As you float away into the shimmer light But I don't feel like dancing when the old Joanna plays My heart could take a chance My two feet can't find a way You'd think that I could muster up A little soft shoe gentle sway I don't feel like dancing, no sir no dancing today I don't feel like dancing, dancing Even if I find nothing better to do Don't feel like dancing, dancing Why'd you pick a tune when I'm not in the mood? This is possibly the gayest video of the last 10 years, were not for the HOT redhead who appears in it. But who cares? The song is beautiful and the video is a little masterpiece (albeit a little crazy). It's like a tribute to the disco dance of the 70's and you can't find anything better than this in that respect. Plus, you HAVE to admire the way this guy dances: just look at the legwork in 3:35! That's fuckin' astonishing! Is there a school where I can learn that?
