I agree 100%, but whenever there's a artist as beloved as Aaliyah, who passed away long before she had the opprotunity to reach her maximum potential. People are going to be overprotective & extra sensitive about anything pertaining to Aaliyah. I understand fully why people might feel that way, but like you said, Timbaland is endorsing her, & I don't think it sleights Aaliyah's legacy one bit. I like it mainly because of the original parts in the song. The original can't be replaced, but I love that they bringing Aaliyah back. Its nice to hear her in 2015. I miss the whole crew!
