I agree 100%, but whenever there's a artist as beloved as Aaliyah, who passed away long before she had the opprotunity to reach her maximum potential. People are going to be overprotective & extra sensitive about anything pertaining to Aaliyah. I understand fully why people might feel that way, but like you said, Timbaland is endorsing her, & I don't think it sleights Aaliyah's legacy one bit. I simply view it as an excellent spin on a classic Aaliyah song. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yes that is true, but the song should just say "Tink- Million" it should say " Tink ft. Aaliyah - Million" otherwise it gives off the impression that she stole the song. You got people who didn't grow up on Aaliyah's music so they think that Tink is the one singing and that all of it is her song, and I personally think that's wrong. You should give credit in the title. (My own personal opinion, I personally love this song and the original, but I don't think it's right now to mention Aaliyah in the title.)
