For a social distancing device I went with a different approach. I just used a hockey stick (can be wood, platic or composite), some duct tape, and a steak knife (butcher knife works just fine). Its sometimes called a Canadian Felony.

Can you please make a video on how to use a camera (Arducam 5MP Plus OV5642 Mini Module Camera Shield SPI Camera Module for Arduino UNO Mega2560 Board & Raspberry Pi Pico) with Raspberry Pi Pico

Too much padding then rushes over the Pico software installation - then the project page gives 404.

The speed of sound is not constant, it varies by temperature and air density. Not enough to make a difference in this project but enough to complicate fine measurement.

Question; if the distance sensor is also I2C, can the Pico handle that or is it one I2C channel at a time?

I wonder if we could use a similar setup to find the approach speed of objects by measuring the doppler shift the of incoming signal relative to the initial signal. Based on the datasheet of the HCSR04, my guess is that it's not due to it triggering off of pulses and not waveforms. Is the sample rate on these boards fast enough to measure a 40khz signal? What are your thoughts?

Great video! A good rule of thumb when designing a PCB is to never use 90 degree angles for traces.
