Crazy to see the evolution of your skills and knowledge!! The first vid I watched was the valiant a few years back when you asked me about using our BME rods in your cummins. You should be very proud of your self ... you are a quick learner. Have you ever thought about getting in to drag racing ? We are looking for a few crew guys to work on a nitro funny car. If you ever go to a NHRA National even drag race , stop buy the snap on fuel funny car pit and ask for nick

Groom Lake hey man thank you for the compliment!! I still have a LONG WAYS to go before I'm to the level I want to be at, but slowly picking up skills. Thank you for following all this time also! Would be very fun to be a part of some high horse drag racing stuff!! If you'd like, shoot me an email to tinman2kustoms@yahoo.com I'm usually pretty busy but something like that could be arranged probably :)

Forever Sharp Steering Wheels yeah thank you for making a nice wheel! Super stoked to see it all comes together in the interior. Actual video of it being mounted and whatnot will be coming when the interior is closer to being finished

Justin Johnston well, the driveshaft Is something that's becoming an expensive problem because of the weird yoke design on the 2015-2017 mustang IRS that we are running

Tinman 2 Kustoms It's an 8.8 housing isn't it? Get a 8.8 yoke for a UJoint is what I had planned.
@Tinman2Kustoms
@Tinman2Kustoms 7 жыл бұрын
Justin Johnston the yoke is different on this axle. It takes a companion flange with an adapter thats like a ball. There are no ujoints in the rear section Of the oem driveshaft

Yeah, you've got some work to do to make the ride worthy of that steering wheel!!! Hahaha, looks good so far man, onward! BTW, there's not much else worse in the world than fixing someone else's mistakes. Good luck with THAT. 😎

Looks like you make your weld nuts with a friction drill, very cool. Do you use the friction bit on a mill ? I have a friend that is able to do anything under .400 on his drill press
@Tinman2Kustoms
@Tinman2Kustoms 7 жыл бұрын
Groom Lake I wish I made them lol we have just had a collection of them for years that dad got from an old job. I don't even have a mill, lathe or any of that. Maybe someday though!
@Tinman2Kustoms
@Tinman2Kustoms 7 жыл бұрын
I could probably rig something up with a homemade slide table on our drillpress and get some endmills, but at that point it's just easier to buy them lol our drillpress is just a harbor freight special from quite a few years back

Are you running a quadrajet carb??? If your thinking about running a spacer to mount a square bore carb to than manifold I would advise against it .

Where do you get those weld nuts? I'm going to need some for my 39 Ford coupe. Very cool info.
@Tinman2Kustoms
@Tinman2Kustoms 7 жыл бұрын
We got a bunch of them from dad's old work. But I think they can be ordered through fastenal. They also have a thing called "squeeze nuts", which work in a similar way, but aren't quite as strong/durable.

+Tinman 2 Kustoms Thanks alot. I'll be checking with my bolt guy. Very good way to secure things. Much better than the rivet nuts. Those will spin sometimes, much better to weld in and I like how they come through the sheet metal. Good design. Thanks. Keep Rocking it out!!!
@sk8erEkaJ
@sk8erEkaJ 7 жыл бұрын
You can get them from McMaster for pretty cheap www.mcmaster.com/#nuts/=1boaxql
@Tinman2Kustoms
@Tinman2Kustoms 7 жыл бұрын
Rocker Pat yes the riv nuts can definitely spin, and it makes them a real pain in the ass sometimes lol only thing with these is make sure to keep the bolt in them when you weld. Otherwise you'll have to run a tap through them every time

+Tinman 2 Kustoms Thanks great info. I'm definitely going to get them. I really like the fact they're available already done, makes it easier to make it right. Over time the holes will wear out with just a bolt, washer's and nuts moving around. Much more like a factory hole in the firewall. Thanks for sharing.

One more thing take that proportioning valve and throw it away and buy a 20$ willwood manual valve in there. I have never had the one your using live for more than a year or two and no matter what they never work right. Also if you use a manual p valve you can use it as a line lock to Do burn outs
